This museum documents the history of Mexico's navy.
The curators have made a real effort to portray the naval museum as part of an ocean going experience. The lighting and exhibits are "watery" and well-presented. There is no English, but Google translator and I managed to understand most of the exhibits. English is not really necessary, since the museum is mostly visual.

This is one of the more amazing things we experienced during our trip to the Veracruz region. Having 4 men launching themselves down, tied to a rope and twirling upside down to the music of a flute played by a 5th man dancing on top of the 30 meter pole, was exhilarating. It made our 4 hour trip to Tajin even more worthwhile.

Visitors can tour this impressive fort, which Hernán Cortés built to deter pirate attacks.
This place was really cool. So much history, you could almost feel yourself transported back into the past. It honestly felt like a movie backdrop of a POTC movie.
Please watch your children. There are no railings or safety warnings, which although it gives you an authentic feel, can make it dangerous for wee ones..... including adults.

This impressive new aquarium is home to over 3,000 species of both local and international marine life.
Nice attraction for the kids.
Lots of fish and sea life to see, even dolphin show daily.
During our visit there was no dolphin show, but our kids have seen so many dolphins in their life so they were not really dissapointed.
Interesting and educational for youngsters.

Well, I'm talking about the town (the Tajin at 5 minutes is amazing). At this little town is almost imposible to get a parking place, I thing is only visited for the Vainilla stores among the downtown. People is veryyyyyyyyyy friendly, but you only can visit the church, the monument of the "voladores" and eat in the small restaurants around the park. From this point you can visit 3 diferent Beaches at 1 hour, but be prepared the road is in very bad conditions, I mean veryyyy bad conditions. In one day you can do this tour: Tajin at the morning, Papantla (1 hour) and and beach. You must not take the detour to Poza Rica, at 5 minutes will find the next exit to Papantla.

A beautiful street bordered on one side by the harbor.
The Malecon is a great place to people watch and soak in the local music and culture which is unique to Veracruz. There are a multitude of restaurants and coffee shops with sidewalk café style Seating. The adjacent park offers a different type of band or other entertainment every night of the week.
The setting is very colorful and rich with locals there to enjoy the cultural heart of the city. Many museums and historical sights are within an easy walking distance of the Malecon. Sit back, relax and enjoy the rich experience of song, food, and dancing!

World class Water Park located in the beautiful Port of Veracruz with unique attractions in the entire country. The best Water Park in México.
Absolutely great.
Not too big, not crowded but has USA written all over it in style, comfort and ambience.
Economically priced as well.
Again is not a huge place but attractions are well designed with safety well in mind with design.
Only issue was attractions are not open throughout day, are opened one at a time which is unusual.
Good food (burgers were great) moderately priced, about $5 U.S. for a burger basket where Pepsi is King, no Coca Cola.
Good armed security with guarded parking area a plus.
Turn-offs:
Open 10 till 6
No leaving after entry without repay
Bring own towels
Absolutely no food or beverage allowed
Intermittent opening of attractions
Lounge chairs very uncomfortable
All in all is a great place to visit, we went 2 days in a row staying at Yes Hotel, poor communications between Hotel and Park although packages offered with both.
We're many issues with Hotel as well but will stay again.
With safety a grave concern in Mexico this Water Park is not a worry in the least and a great place to take the kids with adult attractions as well.
And expansion coming soon as well.
Well done Carlos Slim.

This town square is a favorite performance spot for local bands.
The Plaza de Las Armas (the zocalo) was the focal center of our two day visit to Veracruz. Each evening there was music, dancing, and lots of people just enjoying this inviting and engaging town square. One night (Sat. March 7), there was live band and danzon contest, and on the second night (Sun. March 8) there was a dance performance featuring teenagers performing a traditional veracruzano wedding ceremony. We also saw a few mariachi bands, and lots of people just relaxing and hanging out under the spotlighted palm trees.

It´s the firs Interactive Naval Museum en Latin American. You´re going to know about naval history and see all the ship, aroun 16 diferent areas. It´s great. And is in Veracruz, I mean, Boca del Río. Boca del Río it´s a beutiful place, has diferents shops, hotels, bar-restaurants (the sea food is excelent) and one war ship, Cañonero Guanajuato. You don´t forget it.
There are a few rooms to visit, and the guide spoke fast and was difficult to understand. Mostly obvious explanations: "this is the rap to communicate"... There is a short video, also of low quality. The museum is supposed to be interactive, but aside from randomly pushing the buttons of a long dead radio, I did not sees any evidence of interactivity.
When I asked the guide hire to use the sextant, he used it sideways! Not vertical.
Waste of time!

As with any some of the figures are dead on and some suck. Obviously filled with Mexican people like Cantinflas and Salma Hayek nd athletes and musicians and ex presidents. Also some International heavy weights like Brad Pitt and Elton John and Shakira.
