We have been here several times and every time we enjoy Hin Dad very much. After a low entrance fee you have access to three hot pools next to the refreshing river. All natural water.
There is also a possibility for a original and good Thai massage. In Hin Dad there are toilets, showers and lockers available. In the weekends it can be busy with many tourists. So we advise to visit Hin Dad during weekdays.

An ordinary national park (smaller though). Two attractions are nice mountain view and Flagstaff mountain (Nern Sao thong) approx 35 mins drive from the park. Disliked - electricity is available from 6.30pm till 8.30pm and makeshift chalet maybe quite scary as at night the roof have many noises (was told a squirrel) but must careful since too dark (no light in forest).

Khao Laem Lake or probably better call it a dam is formally known prior to its official name of Vajiralongkorn Dam after our Crown Prince. It is a concrete-face rock-fill dam with 1,019 meters in length and 92 meters in height stretching across the Kwai Noi River. From the effect of the dam, a vast body of water was formed. The dam created variety of water activities as well as solitude area for visitors to appreciate nature at its best. Along the bank of the dam, villagers has started various hospitality business catering to visitors to the area.

The correct spelling should be Vajiralongkorn Dam or sometime the local residences call it the Khao Laem Dam. Being the western dam in Kanchanaburi and the further one from the town, it provides a very good escape for visitors seeking solitude specially spending a night on the floating raft in the dam. The beautiful nature, wonderful sunset and twilight, open sky with Milky Way spread across the sky and wake up with virgin surrounding of the new day are more than one can dream for. Highly recommend to spend a night in this wonderful dam.

Once reaching Thong Pha Phum National Park, the Jogkradin Waterfalls is just few kilometers further on the same road. Visitors need to park their car and walk through an easy trial to reach the falls. During the few months after the raining season, the falls is beautiful to watch and hear the thunderous sound of the water rushing down. The shallow water at the bottom of the falls encourage visitors to take a dip or swim. All-in-all the Waterfalls must not be missed if you come all the way to this area.

If you are looking for a small trekking adventure. You may love this place. Especially on the last station called San Khom Meed (Sharp edge knife translated from Thai language). A narrow path you have to pass before get on the peak around 15 minutes ahead.
But if you really want to make it please make sure you get an advance reservation. Just contact Thong Pha Phum National park staff for more information

One of my favorite trip here!!! I rode motorbike from Ratchaburi to Khuen Srinagarindra Dam National Park. The only way to this park is passing Erawan National Park. So my recommendation is to visit Erawan National Park during the day time and having a camping at Sirnagarindra Dam National Park. The road is good but a lot of curves. It worthy to visit this amazing park :)).

It takes commitment to get to the top of this Wat. We were wandering around the town and came across a sign to a suspension bridge. This is a lovely looking bridge across the Khwae Noi river with a set of stairs leading to the main wihan at Wat Tha Kanun. Keep walking past the Wat and follow the road around the back of the Wat and up a little hill and you'll come across a set of stairs. This is not for the faint hearted - the stairs are steep and loooooong but the view at the top is worth it. There is a chedi and a buddha enclosed in glass at the top. We were accompanied by some of the dogs from the Wat which was disconcerting at first (packs of dogs always make me nervous) however it seems they just wanted to walk with us. On the return however some of the dogs at the Wat decided we were a threat and started Barking aggressively. We ended up skirting around the Wat rather than walking through the grounds as we did on the way up. It was about a 40 minute walk and was well worth it! (apart from the scary Barking dogs on the way back)

Stopped here on the way from Sangkhla Buri to Thong Pha Phum. It's virtually on the side of the road so no climbing steps or hiking up hills to get to it. It's a small-ish waterfall spread over a wide area with half a dozen little falls. Nice spot to stop for a few minutes but not spectacular as far as Waterfalls go.
