We visited this place with a brother of the owner. The display of the artifices and the story's are amazing. The collection is very unusual . The whole house and Gardens is fascinated to see. You can spend hours there and listening to all the stories. We had the privelige to do that. We were even aloud to touch an myan ancient artefact.

Located at Parque Ecologico, very close to the central square (Zocalo), this museum offers a lot; information on the formation of the precolonial city of Tehuacan, information on the methods and origins of cultivating the staple crops of the Mesoamerican diet, and a short exhibit of literature from the colonial years. 50 pesos is a reasonable price for what's on offer. The exhibits are only in Spanish, so bring a dictionary for the more complex vocabulary, if needed.

This was actually a private collection of animals that was recently shut down by the Mexican Government.
I`m not a fan of zoos in generally because I think it´s cruel to take animals away from their natural habitat and this one is no exception. Although there isn´t much space the animals seemed genuinely happy to see their zoo keeper and some of the tigers were even friendly with the visitors. I was looking forward to going back to hold the baby tiger cubs.
The news story of the closure of the zoo made it worldwide, even reaching the UK but having been there and knowing the story behind it, it really showed me how the media can twist a story. Don´t believe everything you read in the news!
What is it? The Las Ventas paleoparque is a park in development of paleo adventure of Mixteca poblana. And on all endemic cacti unique in this area .. The park has interpretive trails of paleontology, cacti and millenary
