Herzlichen Dank!!!

This museum is only part of a floor in a university building, but it tells the history of and explains the personality and lifestyle of the man who discovered x-rays and reinvented the way physicians understand anatomy. It is about 30 minutes to go through his life story and to see different iterations of his first machines but he had an interesting life and it is worth your time to go visit.

After many decades I returned to Wuppertal Zoo and was rather disappointed. When I entered the location I noticed that the Restaurant "Zoo Terrassen" is still not in operation. The building looks rather dilapidated. The music pavilion is the first building you see, when you enter the zoo. OMG! Why don't they tear it down?
Too many of the enclosures don't show any animals, because they are under reconstruction, the wild vegetation hides them or they are no longer used.
Yes, it is a "green zoo", but I could as well take a walk in any forest area in the neighborhood. That would be much cheaper!
I liked the new zoo restaurant building "Okavango", but they don't offer any African food. At least it is not an expensive place and the staff are very friendly.
The new elephant enclosure can also be recommended.
I'm not somebody who criticizes locations for the sake of it. I know lots of zoos worldwide where I really like to go and where I went several times, e.g. Zoo Overloon (NL), Burgers Zoo Arnhem (NL), Zoom Erlebniswelt (D), Duisburg Zoo (D), Calgary Zoo (CDN), Toronto Zoo (CDN), Two Oceans Aquarium (ZA), World of Birds (ZA), Chester Zoo (GB), Blackpool Zoo (GB), Krefeld Zoo (D), Loro Parque Tenerife (E) .... I don't want to brag about all of the zoos I have visited in the recent years, but I want to point out that there has to be a lot to be done until a visit to this zoo in Wuppertal is really an enjoyable one.
The website of the zoo is not at all adapted to modern smartphones. This is definitely not acceptable.

I was always seeing products made in Solingen but the price was ridiculous. At the outlet store you find pretty much everything you might need in your kitchen and not only for reasonable prices. Keep in mind that you must have cash with. The shop is small and they don't take credit/debit cards. But i highly recommend it. :)
