The museum building itself in a masterpiece of architecture but the exhibition is also great. I visited the Max Pechstein exhibition which is mixed with other paintings from a private collection. The descriptions are very helpful and detailed to understand M.P.'s living, the influences and his art. The interiour design of the museum is great (especially the upper floor).

Off to an interactive family excursion to memory®, Barricade ® and Co – Museum Ravensburger lies right in the centre of the city of Ravensburg. At the former company headquarters, the home of the blue triangle, visitors can discover games, puzzles and books from over 125 years of company history. A clever guide accompanies the children and young people – in the tiptoi® Museum Rally, the pen from the well-known audiodigital learning system guides the young visitors through the rooms and asks knowledge-based questions. Visitors who plan enough time for their trip can read and play after their tour – out in the open too if the weather permits. The museum world is very popular. Over 120,000 guests have visited it since the birthplace of the blue triangle was reopened in 2010.
I liked it even if IT would have been better if i had children because this place is dedicated to them.
30% off if you purchase on the museum instead of anywhere else in Germany.
Very interesting because i did not know ravensburger was that big and had so many départements and that there was a Ravensburg attractions parc not far from the Town so i'll have to come back to discover it !
1hour needed if you don't have children or between 2 to much more !

Experience 1000 years of cultural history in an authentic setting The Humpis Quarter is one of the best-preserved, late medieval residential areas in southern Germany. It was in the 15th century that the Humpis family of international traders gave this group of buildings the shape and layout we see today. In this extraordinary place, visitors can trace the city's cultural history from the 11th to the 21st century. Authentic artefacts offer a nostalgic look at our fascinating past. A total of seven buildings are waiting to welcome you with Exhibitions, special events and educational programs.
This museum was a wonderful experience, particularly for those who enjoy history. The museum is housed in a well-preserved medieval building and recounts the history of Ravensburg and the area through personal stories of the people who lived in the building since the 11th century. I loved how key time periods in Ravensburg's history came alive through profiles of its residents. In addition to wandering through the rooms, there were many manuscripts, artifacts and items through the ages (all of the descriptions are in German only). The English language audio guide was extremely helpful, was very well done and provided a wonderful narrative/context. Highly recommended and I would definitely visit again.

The public library of Ravensburg is located in the old “Kornhaus” or: granary. As the name suggests, the building was used as storage and trading place for corn (crops) for almost 500 years, until the beginning of the 20th century.
It has been completely renovated and modernized before turning it into the public library. The most interesting part for a traveller that visits the place is not the books, but the interior look. As beautiful it may be already from the outside, I found the interior look even more impressive. The architects did a really good job by preserving the historical layout. On 4 floors you will be amazed by the massive wooden beams the whole building rests on. They really show its age.
There is a small Reading corner with all the latest magazines (German only) to read (not to take away!) for free. And there is a coffee vending machine where you can buy hot beverages for 1 Euro or less. It makes for a great and inexpensive rest area during a walking tour of Ravensburg.
Free WiFi and free restrooms (on the second floor) are available.
Like any other public library in Germany, it is closed on Mondays.

If you want to get off the tourist track to experience a real country store, make the short trip from Ravensburg to the Hofladen Schloss Farm Shop and Cafe. It's family-owned and features all local goods (organic fruits and vegetables, home-made jams, local wines, and the most delicious fresh-baked strudels ever!) It's in a friendly and beautiful setting, and while you sit in the garden sipping your coffee, many locals will stop by to shop and/or visit with Rita, the warm and genuine shopkeeper who, with her husband, manages the family farm. It's also a perfect stop for bikers or hikers, as there are many lovely trails in the area. You can also check out the family's castle which is on the property. Although it's not open to the public, it's a perfect backdrop for photos.

The Oberschwabenhalle is used for quite a few things. At the moment they are running the Christmas Circus which is an annual pleasure for young and old.
Apart from that they house a number of exhibition where the annual Exhibition is a mixed collection of a number of things. This is likely the most popular exhibition in the year which everybody, all the local people and from the surrounding area visit.
Furthermore they also have a number of Exhibitions during the year whic are well worthy of visiting.

On the northern end of the old town is the “Liebfrauenkirche”,
"Church of Our Lady" is the closest translation of the name that I could find.
It is one of the oldest churches in Ravensburg. It is located right next to the “Frauentor” (Women’s Gate), near the Green Tower (Grüner Turm).
There is no admission fee, but I’m not sure about the opening times when there is no church service. If the front door is locked, try one of the side doors, facing Herrenstraße.
