I honestly surprise that a regency like Purwakarta has something like this, for those of you who had travel to Sentosa Island - Singapore, you might have experienced a 'Wings of Time' performance. The concept is similar, but of course Singapore offers a more technological and story-full experience. Do use comfortable shoes, the floor is quite slippery.

This Dam is located near Purwakarta. The dam was built at the Citarum River. It is the first multi function dam built in 1960s. There is not so much to see but you can still enjoy the place.

Hugh traffic in Jakarta can causes you to find the place to reveal stresses, but most stresses can not revealed by met other traffic and stresses of waiting queue line on airport or highway. This is the perfect place to go.The view was stunning. If you plan to go here, prepare your self by running minimum 15minutes each day whole week before. The high is 900m, but there are some place to take rest in 300m and 400m. Just bring alot of water.

You can locate this place on Google Map as Perkebunan Teh Sindang Panon. It is 17 Km from Purwakarta city center and expect a long and winding road along the trip to reach here. You need to find the tea farm first, which is owned by PT Karti Wana Raya. You can ask a local guide to lead you along the tea farm and reach the Panenjoan, which means the lookout.
Panenjoan is bamboo-made structure which is truly great for selfies and the view from the lookout is truly breathtaking. You can view Mount Sangga Buana and Lake Jatiluhur from here.

It's not easy to reach this place, but it will pay off when you arrive. You can navigate by using Google Maps to Ujung Aspal Wanayasa and then ask the locals about the road to Bukit Pinus Panyawangan, which is still natural and quiet. The entrance ticket is 5,000 rupiah / person. This location is 25 km from the city center of Purwakarta on a long and winding road.
Here, you can enjoy the beauty of the neat and clean pine forest. It is suggested to be here in the morning or afternoon with the effects of sunlight through between - between the pines and sometimes filled with fog which is great for photography.
You can hike to see 2 waterfalls: Curug Pamoyanan and Curug cimanahrasa. There is also an old cave.
Besides Camp Ground, there is also Mountain Bike lane named Pusakamulya Bike Park, the route approximately 2000 meters from the summit.
It was a cold and rainy day when we got here so we didn't see much because the hiking trail was slippery. But we managed to take some photos at the misty pine forest.

This place is named as Desa Wisata Sajuta Batu, which means Million Rock Tourism Village, as you can see many geological rock. The location is on Pesanggrahan village, Tegal Waru district, which is 26 Km from the city center of Purwakarta. It was not easy to reach this place as you have to go through long and winding road, also small village road but the scenic view will get you overwhelmed.
Rural tourism may be quite rarely visited, and therefore this is a good time to visit the Sajuta Batu village. Upon arrival, you will be presented the typical natural mountain scenery Purwakarta. This village is not only made up of Mountains but also a place to stay, plantations and agriculture.
Activities that can be performed by the visitors include roaming the village with natural green hills and paddy fields, fishing, rock climbing in Parang mountain and mountain climbing in Mount Bangkok and Mounts Salisih. Other activities are offroad sports and camping. The location is most commonly used as a vacation destination of students and young people or Panorama and pre-wedding.photographers
There are so many natural rock, from small to arguably the biggest Andesite Mountain in Indonesia, Mount Parang, a famous place for rock-climbing.
Desa Wisata Sajuta Batu is not only suitable for nature lovers, but also a photographer. The scenery is very beautiful and rarely found elsewhere. Visitors will find many rice fields with village life is still beautiful.
We went down the road to see the Jatiluhur lake, which is stunningly beautiful.

I stayed at the village for about 3 days for World Village Conference. The local people here are just lovely and warm. I learned that although the modernization are just everywhere, the people in this village are consistently reserving their tradition. If you happened to have some time to visit Purwakarta and wish to learn about their culture, you need to visit this village, eat Sate Maranggi, and go to the rice-field!
