We were staying over 60 miles away from this magical place and were advised to go by the people we were staying with and are we glad we took their advice. We didn't` bother with the boat rides or pony trekking just walked, waded and swam as far as we could through the crystal clear ice cold water amid breath taking scenery. You could not help yourself from laughing and smiling all the way. Water shoes are a must as is a plastic bag for phones and camera. Only note of caution lunch at the riverside restaurant was very expensive and poor quality... take butties !

The castle is definitely worth visiting! The views to both Valtos beach and Parga town are great. Especially the view to Parga town was beautiful in the evening! We were lucky to be there during full moon, so we got amazing pictures. There is also a very nice cafe, so you can enjoy the view while having a drink.

There were many taverns at the back of the beach, so all was so nice. Our favorite beach if Monolithi, which is about a 30 minute drive south of this beach.

Take the train from Parga through lovely village of Anthoussa to the castle . Lots of wonderful views and a very historic place , not muck left but still worth the visit. It cost 8 euros to catch the road train and is worth the money , stopping in the village on the way back for a drink 2 hrs well worth doing

A nice sea cave , deep clear and clean waters ; turquoise sea color . easy to find , though expectations were for a bigger cave but it was worth the visit. There are more smaller caves along the shore , accessible only by boat.

If you like your Beaches uncommercialised, with crystal clear blue water set in a tree lined cove - then this is for you. About half an hours drive from Parga, past Ammoudaria on a turn off to the left hand side of the road. Lots of parking under the trees and a cantina with shade. This was truly beautiful when we visited in early June, about 6 people on the beach; lovely warm water - heaven!

Went on the Parga train to visit the watermill and Museum then a walk up to the Waterfall. Lovely 1 hr and 45 mins trip. The girl that was the guide was very knowledgeable and was explaining things on the way there and then all about the watermill. It's up a steep hill and bit of off road walking to get to the Waterfall so if you have any trouble walking it's not a good idea to go. There's a very nice reasonable cafe at the watermill as well. The trip cost €8 each.
