In Canada's wine country, Niagara-on-the-Lake presents a well-preserved 19th-century village and its charms. Drive or bike through the area, stopping at wineries and Fort George National Historic Site. Three couples went to this estate winery yesterday. We had purchased tickets for the wine tour which was very informative and well presented by Gus Miranda. we sampled for wines which were very good. Testing amount was more than we were allowed at the other two . he coupled the wines with various foods and not only were we educated in pairings but found it amazing in how some went so well together. We learned how to correctly smell the wine, how not to over aerate, where best to hold glass and store wine. thanks so much for the tour.

Two rooms full of printing presses through history including a Linotype machine - my favorite. You get to set your own type and print things, along with a history of Mr. MacKenzie and "Upper Canada."

A charming town. We walked around and visited a number of shops on a sunny late-summer day. Fun to sample ice wine, one of the region's specialties.

Yes, the Falls are spectacular, as well as the Gorge and Whirlpool, but the truly best part of this region is the continuous park system that runs the entire length of the Canadian side of the Niagara River, from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Stop almost anywhere (with free parking outside of the Falls zone) for walking, biking, roller-blading, and, of course, picnics. The best views can be found in the Locust Grove opposite Queenston Heights.

We are a boutique winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We produce small quantities of high quality wine.
Having been to Rancourt several times with DanNel Transportation, Rancourt have never disappointed us with their pairings.
It is a small winery, however, they always have done a super job with our requests for different pairing of their wines.
Their history is truly something to hear about. and will bring tears to the eyes of those in love with romance and the flavor for wine..
The balcony over the vineyard is really something to experience. more so, their themed events. Check them out.
You will not be disappointed.
Our fav, 2015 Meritage Reserve VQA.
Let me know what you think please.
Cheers...

We really liked Galina our tasting host. She had lots of information and knew the wines well. She treated us with respect, acknowledging our personal preferences and palettes. We were asked what we wanted to try instead of being told what to try. Lots of choices in white and red wines, 4 per tasting.
We had not previously tried any wines from this winery. Their white and rose sparkling were both refreshing. Only tried one white, their Riesling. Tried a variety of their reds, with the 2012 Merlot being our favourite. Their signature Euccheleus was like the Meritage we have tried at other wineries, with complex and unique flavours. Only a few of their wines are available at the LCBO. Worth a stop at this St. Catherine's winery.

Andrew Peller was one of the founding fathers of Ontario wine; today his namesake winery remains a family-owned Enterprise - focused around the grand winery, showpiece barrel cellar and gracious Peller Estates Winery Restaurant (helmed by Chef Jason Parsons). Food and wine pairing themes are mainstays in the chock-full seminar and event calendar. Peller Estates' full range of Private Reserve whites, reds and sweet wines by Winemaker Katie Dickieson are always rich and approachable, while the Signature Series features age-worthy reds, award-winning Icewines and the unique Ice Cuvee sparkling wines, sweetened with a touch of Icewine. Experience wine country at the ultimate wine and food lover’s playground with tours and seminars throughout the day, including Niagara’s only igloo-like lounge where you’ll don a Peller Estates parka and taste Icewine at -10C. Partake in a barrel cellar dinner, fine dining in the Winery Restaurant with Executive Chef Jason Parsons, or casual dining on the patio’s Barrel House Grill. Party in the Vineyard at the annual food truck event in spring and country music festival in summer.
We walked in on a rainy Thursday with our 2 kids to sample ice wine and had a great experience! Sal greeted us immediately and welcomed us and the kids. He let us taste at our leisure and offered good information. We bought 2 bottles and would highly recommend this place. Hope to come back for a tour some day.

Our first visit to the city and the festival and Saint Joan was our first treat. This is top flight theatre and great material. The cozy venue was a pleasant experience and we will definitely return.

Guests to Niagara's newest destination Winery & Distillery can enjoy wine and whisky tasting bars, retail stores, tours and seminars throughout the day, and a VIP tasting room. Nestled among the vineyards, the distillery is home to state of the art distilling equipment, while the winery features a beautiful barrel cellar and collection of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia.
Great place and very welcoming staff! Eric was an awesome tour guide. Whiskey's are tasty, Cream Whiskey was my fave. It is a nice spot to go between wineries just to change it up a bit and the property is gorgeous, ice rink idea is very unique. I will definitely go back.

My wife, in laws, and I went for the free skate at Fort George. It was a wonderful afternoon. We stayed about 2 hours because of the exceptionally cold weather. Unfortunately, we left before taking in the rest of the attraction. We will definitely return to take the walking tour of the Fort proper.
