A beautiful walk through the rainforest. You really feel like your somewhere else. The sounds of the first, cicadas, birds it is truly amazing! I recommend doing the circuit first so by the time you finish that your all hot and ready for the cool
Water. If your feeling brave you can even jump off the rocks into the waterhole!

There wasn’t much to do there for us as although it is a big lake/dam, there are no boats, fishing (not that we’re interested), kayaks or anything. There wasn’t really even any wildlife, although the area is a massively populated koala area – and no, we still haven’t seen any wild ones in the trees! The only wildlife we saw, that looked a bit iffy, was some chavvy older bloke, taking photographs (with all the kit) of some young – really young – girl, clad in a bra and thong pants, all black and lacy, with platform shoes on the size of Auckland Sky Tower. She didn’t look at all comfortable and I don’t think it was the temperature!
There are some picnic tables and BBQ spots and a large restaurant nearby, by the drive down there was better than the Lake itself. I think it is possibly better on a really hot day, when you are able to throw yourself into one of the designated swimming areas.

The park is basically a large rain forest with some interesting walks, awaterfall or two and some good recreational areas in a very pretty part of th Sunshine Coast. It is a rain forest and has some good walks through lush growth and tall trees. Pick a dry day.

Showing the best of local and interstate artists in a 1919 Queenslander on the main street of Montville, in the gorgeous Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Some great art here by local and regional artists. Prices seem reasonable for the pieces. Lady we talked to was very friendly and offered information on artists and various pieces. We could have bought plenty but after moving to a new address are still working out what we need. Worth a look. Parking is typical Montville - on the street where ever you can find a space.

Didn't mind sitting outside because the indoor area was all booked. Ordered hamburgers at $18 each. Pricey, but expected something good. Better than the top range at Hungry Jacks? I doubt it. Double the price? Indeed. Had to ask for forks because the 5cm deep beetroot made eating by hand messy. Add a 30 minute wait and it just wasn't worth all the effort just for a great view. Ample parking because even though it was fully booked, most guests were still to arrive when we left. OK, but not great.

First day we walked from M4 to Ubajee Walkers Camp. The trek was uninspiring as we were constantly interrupted by lorries carrying soil and the walking track was criss-crossed by vehicle tracks and roads. Very disappointing. The ranger drove past us twice and didn't even acknowledge us. Ubajee camp itself is well setup with individual camp sites, tables, toilet and water (needs to be treated though). Second day we trekked past Gheerulla Falls (littel water running and the pool looked rather stagnant) and Gheerulla Viewpoint (quite nice!) before camping at Thilba Thalba Campsite. Again the campsite was well setup and the view near the campsite was worthwhile. Next day we trekked to Gheerulla camp area and, while it was disappointing because of the trail bikes, this campsite gave access to one of the two better areas to explore and again had access to campsites (though limited); toilet and water which needed treatment. The walk between Gheerulla and Ubajee camps is the most interesting.
Looking back on our experience, I'd drive to Ubajee and trek to Gheerulla (or visa versa) rather than trekking the entire circuit.
Mobile phone coverage was available in all campsites except for Gheerulla.

Studio Pottery and Gallery - Set amongst the spectacular Panorama of the hinterland views. See professional potter Anne Gentry-Smith making her diverse pieces. Browse the gallery and see the individually hand made works of Clay Sculpture, Art and Functional Pottery Wares.
The breath taking view, the outstanding artwork, and the company. Definitely a place to add to your list of places to see. A highlight of my trip to Monteville

Montville's newest groovy art destination. Works by local and iconic Australian and New Zealand artists; art, design and architecture books; handcrafted jewellery, and beautiful superfine merino scarves from Tasmania - to name just a few of the reasons to visit!
My daughters and I visited this beautiful micro-galley on the weekend. The gallery has a diverse range of artists and mediums. There was plenty of beautiful and interesting pieces to look at and the Gallery owner was very welcoming and informative. This is a must-do on the Montville arts trail!
