We found the setting to be pretty. The food choices were very limited and very expensive for what you get. We arrived with a party of 10 and we were grumpily told we were not allowed to put tables together, when asked why, staff seemed indifferent and had no plausible reason ....so had to sit separately and that was dissapointing. The food arrived in good time, was ok, nothing fantastic though. Won't be back, cafe up the road much nicer with amazing views

Have been to this establishment many times over many-many years. Beautiful day for a bit of relaxation, the views were outstanding and the food was excellant as was the coffee.Staff were courteous and attentive but like the manageress/owner not very friendly, this however did not spoil our visit.
Already planning a "high tea" visit in the very near future!

The Maleny Food Co. story began in 2001 when it was first founded as Colin James Fine Foods, opening on Maple St, Maleny. Starting out as a café and fromagerie, our gelato and sorbet was made daily on site in traditional artisan style. As word spread and the awards began to accumulate, our name became synonymous with ‘truly amazing’ gelato. Since those early days we have continued to expand our operations, using artisan techniques in our purpose-built manufacturing facility in Maleny, Queensland, and our products can now be found in a growing number of restaurants, gelato shops, boutique grocers and cafes. We now welcome a new chapter in our story, and while our name has changed, our values and the quality of our award winning gelato and sorbet remain the same. Our vision is to create an integrated business of food manufacturing, food retailing and food tourism, built on a strong connection to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We are passionate about showcasing Maleny, the surrounding region, its people, produce and stories. We invite you to visit us at our store in Maple Street, Maleny, to experience our walk-in fromagerie, select from our range of local produce, enjoy a coffee, or the deli-style dining and of course, try our delicious gelato and sorbet.
We were holidaying on the Sunshine Coast & decided to come up to Maleny to see if their claim of Australia's best gelato was true.
Their gelato is good, but definitely not Australia's best.
This said, if your in the area do drop into this cafe as you won't be disappointed with the food or service because in addition to their gelato we also enjoyed a good cheese plate, cold meats, cake & muffins washed down with smooth coffee.

something different and delicious, Vegetarian menu, global cuisine with local products.
Absolutely loved this restaurant, the presentation and service was fab too
Music playing in the background suited the surrounds
The meals were delicious and cooked to perfection - all homemade and fresh ingredients. For that lovely feeling of someone cooking for you this is the place...
I would go back again to this restaurant I loved the style and ambience...

Found the vineyard purely by chance and so happy we did. It was too early for lunch but we could not resist this beautiful location.
After tasting a few wines we decided on the Paddock to Plate to share, plenty there and interesting flavours.
We also picked up a wine to take home. No pressure to buy.

Fresh, Local & seasonal is our motto. We serve a fresh seasonal menu using local ingredients. Relaxed atmosphere with 5 star food and service. We brew our own draught beer on site. Ranging from Pilsner & Pale Ales to Stouts and Kilkenny's. Live music every Saturday and Sunday Lunch
I run a Photography Experience business and regularly take clients into the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We spent some time searching for the best place for lunch in Montville before we began, taking into account friendly service, good value and quality food (we have our own reputation to consider). And easily, the Wild Rocket is the best. Friendly, five-star service with high quality food at reasonable prices. Great work.

A cafe in Maleny that makes delicious fair-trade coffee & food. Focusing on local and organic produce. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch.
Had lunch today at this Cafe and ordered the Special of the Day it was absolutely delicious. We had the zucchini, peas, mint fritters served with rocket, crispy bacon and a poached egg on a Tibetan tomato salsa. Very glad we chose Monica's Cafe for lunch.

Top of the hill main street Montville
Big meals perfectly cooked. The complimentary bus was excellent and the driver very friendly. We were disappointed as booked ahead for St Patrick’s Day celebrations and told live music and entertainment in the evening in booking and there was nothing when we arrived so we ate and returned to our accommodation Disappointing end to an otherwise nice experience.

Welcome to The Long Apron The signature restaurant of Montville’s picturesque Spicers Clovelly Estate. The Long Apron is a dining experience that insists on a lengthy stay. Our tasting menu doesn’t change every season but when the time is right. It is an ‘organic menu’ that adjusts to the changes constantly happening around us and highlights the best of our region, seasonal European inspired dishes, which blend classic techniques and the finest local produce with exquisite results. Our A La Carte menu offers a relaxed, fresh and zesty dining experience taking from dishes from the signature degustation. Our enthusiastic kitchen team are continuing to showcase the best of the Sunshine Coast’s stunning produce. We source our produce from our local growers, catchers, farmers and makers, some of which are providing bespoke ingredients for both ‘The Long Apron’ menus. The property’s garden and wild bee hives add to our sustainability commitment and emphasis on fresh and local.
Dined with a friend after New Year. We had the summer degustation menu. All the dishes were well presented, unusual and tasty. It wasn’t a particularly busy lunch however it was necessary to wave down the wait staff to order drinks and obtain water. After...MoreI am pleased you enjoyed your meal but disappointed to hear how it ended. Thank you for taking the time to write; we appreciate all feedback: I hope we can improve on this experience on your next visit.

We stumbled across this quaint little BYO Italian restaurant on Australia Day evening! What a lovely relaxed setting, very romantic with all the 'fairy' lights - greeted by the most friendly young lady. The garlic bread was superb, we could have just ate that all night! Main meals so tasty - note medium pizzas are big enough to share! Reasonably priced.
