Highly recommended attraction in Monastir. Same type of fortress as the one in Sousse, but much bigger and spectacular. Placed in an isolated position on the sea next to the mosque and at close distance to the mausoleum of Bourguiba, from its tower a spectacular view can be seen. A photographer paradise, the labyrinthine building allows access to basically every single hidden room and you can unleash there your Indiana Jones instinct and pretend to look for treasures or to solve ancient enigmas. It was the place where Zeffirelli's "Jesus of Nazareth" and Monty Python's "Life of Brian" were filmed: I recommend to watch the latter right before or after the visit to appreciate the location in a different way. Give it enough time to enjoy it fully.

This is a house of Tunisian First President "Habib Ben Ali Bourguiba" which became independent from France in 1956. Procurement product such as Mercedes Benz, the furniture, radio, the carpet etc...which he used long-time are really displayed neatly.
The Mediterranean Sea is the neighbor, and the view from a big balcony is an unrivaled article. I want to live in such a wonderful house. This place is worth looking once

If you don't want to haggle and you are happy to pay the price on the price tag this is the place for you. Air conditioned and many floors to browse. All the usual touristy souvenirs, drinks, Tunisian foods, clothing, shoes, leather goods, toiletries and customer toilets - all under one roof. Reasonable prices and prices from cheap to very expensive depending on your budget.

Back in July when me and my family were in Monastir we booked the pirate ship which we thought was very reasonable in price.Im so glad I we did as it was one amazing, fun day, that we all enjoyed, the shows we see were fantastic and were even greater when my partner got taken from the crowd to do a demonstration with the pirates it was a great laugh, there was also a baby monkey on the ship which was fully trained & well behaved by pirate members (staff).Lunch is added in with the price but must add you have to pay for drinks on the ship, after lunch & show you can do line fishing from the boat which is fun for everyone & after it gets even more fun as you & your children are allowed to dive or jump in the sea which tops of the day, absolutely beautiful scenery from start to finish & would recommend the pirate ship excursion to anyone...Its a must.

Went go Karting with the mrs and we enjoyed ourselves we paid 30 dinars for 30 mins but they gave us 45 mins, so definitely value for money. Highly recommend. Good thing it was close to the hotel I stayed at. Well worth a check out. Good place to spend time away from hotel.

Nice park in walking distance from the busy old town of Monastir (right outside of the north-west gate).
A hand full of rides, especially for the younger audience: trampolines, bumper cars, "bumper car - boats", various merry go round's etc. Just a couple of "adult" rides (small space shoot and roller coaster).
Our two year old had a blast.
There are also a nice recreational ground in one end of the park.
And the price is a bargain: 20 dinars for 12 tickets.
