It has been a brief visit to La Seyne-sur-Mer, just for a couple of hours so to find a viewing platform in such a small, not so touristy, town. This point is the former brige (constracted in 1917), which had been turned into "tower" in 2009.
You definitely can not miss it as it stands in exact town centre, not fare from the tawn hall and the Tourist info-point. The entrance is free. The elevator takes you to the top from where you may see whole La Seyne-sur-Mer, beautiful coast-line and even Toulon on the other side of the bay.
The town of La Seyne-sur-Mer may be has no a lot to see, but looks nice and pretty from above. So Le Pont de la Seyne is perfect place to check on this charming piece of cote d'Azur!

Single track starts at the eastern side and descends to larger track. Continue east on main, larger track about 300m, then look for Single Track down, off to left which passes small building in first 20m. This eventually comes out on the main road, you can then ride back up towards the church, but before you hit the really steep bit, there is a large citerne on a parking space on a left-hand 180deg bend in the road. There are then two options to head back down from here. The right one is more flowy and less rocky, the left one is steeper and rockier

Better go there on a sunny day because of the strolls you cab have there as well as the scenic route and the marvellous view from there. You can have refreshments and there are also typical souvenirs shops.

The church is very nice, but what I really liked was the outdoor Stations of the Cross path up the far side of the harbor cliff. At the top is a chapel that marks the spot where a hermit lived. He would blow a trumpet to alert the town of incoming ships in the middle ages. Very good views from the top.

Superb views across the Rade de Toulon and an attractive set of buildings on an easily accessible site. The museum exhibits, concentrating on the Rade and naval history, are a bit let down by indifferent explanations.

Whilst the stadium itself is fine and no doubt the main stands have better facilities, all the away tickets for my game were in the 'Ailerons' stand. The view was good but facilities poor and we weren't allowed to access facilities in the adjoining stand.
There were two urinals for the gents and one cubicle for the ladies which led to long queues and waits.
There was a single small pop up stall selling beer and soft drinks but nothing else and no food as far as I could see.
The collection of tickets was pretty painless and the ladies behind the counter very helpful.
Security was tight and I was given a rub down search in a bar outside the ground.
Enjoyed a good match which we lost but if you are an away fan and ticketed in the Ailerons stand, be prepared.

Family of five went on a one-hour tour around the Toulon Harbor, got very close to the Navy ships and spotted the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle docked up for maintenance. One of the destroyers were pulling out of pit for a Mission, so we got to watch it maneuver up close.
Rest of the tour was historical sites.
All the info is in French, but we were handed a brochure with main attractions described in English.
Tip: Choose a seat on the right side of the boat (starboard) to have the best view of the town and sites during the cruise.

A little off the beaten track, we found it easy to park. The building is vast, with huge galleries. There was an exhibition of French modern art when we went which was interesting but no more. Even so, it was worth spending an hour there. As far as I can remember admission was free.

We spent a good couple of hours just soaking in all the artwork, models, statues and information in this little museum on our cruise ship stop. Very interesting, staff speak very good English and are very friendly, little talking earphones are available for a small fee in lots of languages.
As we were under 26 years old we also got free entry (some weird french rule!) so this was an added bonus for us!
Even if your not into boats or sailing, which I am not, this was a very enjoyable way to learn.
