The good people of Hévíz obviously like the colorful churches. After a green one, now I have seen a blue one. The modern church with seven towers is very impressive rather look like a Cathedral than a church of a little country town.
It's a new building, was erected in 1999 and consecrated in 2007
What that is mostly taking in the interior is the wooden cover of the ceiling, which lends some warm, cozy feeling to the church. These wooden panels are also providing an excellent acoustic, that make possible to perform Concerts in the church.

Zala Springs Golf Resort is Hungary’s first master planned golf resort community, which is unique both in Hungary and in Central Europe. The challenging 18-hole championship golf course has been beautifully designed around the resort properties, clubhouse, nature reserves and lakes guaranteeing a great play of golf with breathtaking views.
Located in the southern Transdanubia region about 2.5 hours from Budapest, Zala Springs golf resort lies just west of Lake Balaton. It is located near Kesgthely and a few miles from the famous thermal lake resort of Heviz. The resort features rental luxury apts. and a great restaurant and clubhouse. The course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. is a masterpiece and features unique par 5's, lush fairways, and carpet like greens and several lakes. The clubhouse has a good pro shop bistro restaurant and locker rooms. The teaching professionals speak five different languages. The Apts are large, comfortable with small kitchens and lots of outside patio room to get together with your friends. This course along with Royal Balaton and Pannonia make a good three some to play on a five night stay. The resort is also a good base to use while visiting Szenna,Veszprem,Tihany, or for day trips into the northern highlands with its' Castles and wineries along the Slovenia and Austrian borders.

Overal: free entrance more or less. 500HUF for tower entrance was worth it. The building is huge and i didnt expect this in a city such as this. I definitelly recommend visiting this gem. The garden around and the pond are nice too.
All in all you wont spend more than 1 hour here.

Active club zala 24, the hungarian arch paradise, bow sports and leisure fun for the whole family near the balaton lake
Fazit, absolut empfehlenswert

Balaton Ballooning is the only full time balloon company in Hungary with sister companies in Dubai and in Italy. Our pilots are some of the most experienced in the world. Your balloon takes off daily from Heviz from 01.04. until 31.10. The duration of the programme is about 3 hours including the approx.one hour ballon flight, hotel transfers, flight certificate and a glass of local champagne.
We planned hot air ballooning over the lake Balaton for a year, and now we have been lucky to try it. Even when booked it is still risky because of the weather which can not be controlled. We booked our trip to a Tuesday and on Monday we got a text that it will be cancelled due to bad weather, so had a choice for another day of the week. Luckily on Wednesday weather was nice and we went to that trip. The company comes by their bus for us within 30 km area of the departure place and later took us back.Very professional team, constant radio contact with the car (they followed us on the roads) and air traffic controllers. 18 people plus the pilot, 1300 km height, huge silence around and to be honest it was hot- because of the gas and hot air. But it is a very unique experience, and definitely worth to try once in a lifetime. The wind did not allow us to fly over Balaton only over small Balaton( a smaller lake), Heviz spa and Zala river, we turned around always that everyone could see everything. Also they took professional picture and video of us with a long assembled selfie stick, and people could buy these videos(we did). Be careful after landing, because the area is full with mosquitoes (thousands of them:) Then we got champagne and a diploma to prove our balloon flight. It was a very special sunset from the balloon and a special evening. Highly recommend.

An interesting castle hidden away in the town with large grounds, and outbuildings holding little museums in their own right.
There is a separate hunting, and Carriage museum as well as the castle.
If you are VERY lucky then a choir will be singing, their voices reaching through the castle rooms to add to your visiting experience.

Nice and quiet surrounding up the hill. A golden Buddha statue is located in he Stupa. It is the biggest Stupa in Europe and the Dali Lama have visited it.
It is a really good walk through nature up to the highest point. There are stairs but the Stupa is also easy accessible by car. A space for meditation is situated next to the temple.

The lake of Hévíz is the biggest biologically active, natural medicinal water in the world. Its temperature is affected by the combination of cold and hot spring waters coming from underground. The medicinal water breaks out from the spring cave on the surface at the rate of approx. 410 litres per second and with a temperature of 40°C. According to that Delivery, the water in the lake changes every three and a half days and keeps uniformly clean.
The thermal lake of Héviz is the second largest in the world, natural sources keep you warm 24 hours a day, in winter the steam covers the hot water with a mist. The água water flow is very strong and is believed to be renewed every day and has curative effects.

Very well done exhibits, as well organised and pretty well described in three languages (Hungarian, English and German). In hall number three there were some items only described in Hungarian, which was a pity because it looked like interesting stories with photos relating to the family generations who lived there as well. If you go to the Palace, see this as well.

After Matrafured and Budapest, the unique service of the High-Tech Sports Base - the segway tour - is now available in Heviz. The tour on this fantastic vehicle offers an unforgettable experience for children, adults, the young, the elderly, couples, families and friends alike. Other exciting programmes avalable!
We have just returned from Heviz - where the largest thermal lake in the world is. Since my family did not want to go into the lake, we've looked for something to do down town. We've found segway, an interesting thing to combine site seeing and some new technical sport.
After a brief introduction on how to use the segway, we started of to ride around Heviz. It was fun! Even for my wife, who was rather scared at the beginning, after 10-15 minutes she was riding it with amusement. I would recommend it to practically everybody, except very old visitors. Have fun!
(It is not cheep, 10,000 forints - approx. 33 Euros, for two hours per person!)
