Amazing! I loved the extraordinary collection of historic printing machinery. Fascinating insight into a reviving art form.

Wonderful setting, gorgeous wooden wig-wams, well stocked visitors kitchen, clean showers and really helpful owners. There is nothing negative to say about this wonderful place. You can hire bikes, take your own and make use of the fabulous trails around the area or you can just sit at the doorway and breath! Loved it.

We went to the Cardrona for a wedding and it's certainly geared up for such an occasion, catering for large numbers with ease, in a lovely location. We were in an executive double which was roomy and very comfortable, with an outstanding view over the golf course. The reason I say it's hard on the wallet is the extortionate price of drinks - there is no justification for this away from a city - and unless you're at a wedding I suggest going into Peebles where there are great pubs with drinks a fraction of the price - a good bus service and not too expensive taxis

As one of Europe's leading Chocolate and Pastry schools, we teach our students using the very best ingredients and equipment in our purpose-fitted kitchen.
We called in for hot chocolate which frankly was rather disappointing. Due to the reputation of the venue we expected a much richer beverage & did not expect 'squirty cream from a can'!! have enjoyed better in less specialist places. The presentation was somewhat lacking serving the drink in an overfilled pottery mug with no saucer or spoon resulting in the drink spilling down the sides of the mug. Surely, as a specialist venue you can do better than this??

Innerleithen, situated just a few miles south east of Glentress is the preserve of the more experienced rider. Deemed as providing awesome downhill and freeride trails, as well as a cracking red-graded XC route.
Steep climb right from the car park but this is a great place to ride. Really good fast single track down with plenty of technical difficulty and chicken runs for the not so brave. More edgy than Glentress and not nearly so weatherproofed.
Not for the kids here and food and drink are in the village its self, over the bridge.

Randomly took in this road after seeing the classic maroon road signs expecting one of those algal covered, long-abandoned roadside wells, hence was very pleasantly surprised with what we found. Centre was closed when we arrived but it was out-of-season, so can't complain. I'd imagine the interior of the visitor centre would be quite interesting based on the information boards we read, but can't really comment. Nice that they've gone to the effort of leaving cups out for passers by try the spring water even if the place is shut. Definitely worth a quick visit regardless of the seasons.
One bit of confusion related to the 'private road' sign upon approach. Wasn't sure if this meant 'no entry to non-residents' but I went with a gut-feeling and pressed on to find a car park beside the wells, so I presume we did the right thing!

Great session with Jess who after establishing what I wanted from the day quickly assessed some errors in my riding and set about correcting them. Coaching was progressive and easy to follow and I felt a real improvement in my riding over the session. By the end of the day I was able to tackle previously tricky sections with loads more confidence and in a much more relaxed manner. As MTBers we're quick to spend fortunes on the latest go faster widget whereas a few pounds spent on tuition is a much better "upgrade"
