This church is located in the middle of the old city, The city was known for gold mining, and the hill where the Church is located is believed to still have some gold under the church.
Annually every June there are some Catholic festivals for the Saints John and Saint Benedict.

If you come by car by night you can see...a achurch floating in the lights...what a vision!
It is the older church of Cuiabá, well conserved, I don't understand of building or architecture but it is just a beautiful presence.
Inside there is not great stained glasses, decoration is staid and classic, but charming.

We walked to the park from our hotel-an easy 20 minutes. We were impressed with how many people were using the park on a Monday morning-jogging, bird watching, and using the exercise stations. The signage is great, bathrooms clean and here's cold filtered water near the education center! A bonus! While there we saw agoutis, marmosets and lots of birds. Bring your repellant if you are easy prey for mosquitos. All trails are paved There is also a children's area which we did not see. This was well worth our 90 minute visit.

Vale a visita. Recomendo.

It is a somewhat small shopping center, but with some high quality shops and restaurants. The cinemas are the best in town.

The actual stands were finished and it was a good view and great atmosphere. There was food and drink walking around the perimeter of the stadium.
A few issues...nails still on the floor in front of us, no COLD water or Coke drinks in the fridges in the levels near us and it was 41 degrees at 6.00 pm! They just put the drinks in the fridges at the start of the game. We were guided to the elevator instead of climbing the steep steps to Level 4 but it didn't work. No handrails on any of the stairs leading up to the seats either.
Hopefully, some of these points can be fixed before the next game.

Visitei as poucas lojas. O prédio é bonito, um antigo colégio, mas esperava que tivesse mais lojas e mais variedades de artesanato da capital matogrossense. Poucas opções. Não vale a visita.

We didn't have much time in the city and chose to visit this museum over others. No charge to enter and we were given a free tour by a friendly guide (in Portuguese). It's a unique space (probably its best asset). We saw exhibits of old water pipes & showerheads, handicrafts from the region, a display of objects and photographs of indigenous cultures and a photo display that takes you back through the history of Cuiabá. We weren't too sure if all exhibits were permanent or if some were rotational. Nice diversity in exhibits for someone who didn't have much time, but it's not the place to get an in depth look at the culture and/or region. Exhibits were basic and the guide basically said the same thing that we could have read on the displays themselves.
