Great place to spend an hour or three. Lots of trees, water and plants in a very well maintained park. Not much shade so go here on a cloudy day. Free entrance.

Wilson Botanic Park is an unexpected idyll in the middle of suburbia - well worth a visit for a quiet retreat or some more vigorous exercise. Personally I never go there without my camera (not just the phone) because the opportunities are brilliant and the light everchanging.

We had so much fun at McClennand Gallery today. The kids loved exploring all the sculptures and walking around.
We took a picnic and rug and let the kids run around in the metal maze while we watched.
Just note- there is an unfenced Lake that my son was fascinated by so be careful of little ones, and take insect repellent as it is part of the bush and mozzies like the back sculpture park.

Great playground with picnic tables under cover, BBQ facilities and a lake to feed the ducks. (Rubbish Bins are also provided.)
One toilet on site which can get really dirty and messy (which I personally believe is due to patrons disrespecting the toilet as they seem to get cleaned once a day) - lucky its away from the playground!

Got treated to a night out here in the tier dining section restaurant which is in the members area. Brilliant food, felt like I was at a city club not a country race course! Staff were lovely. Helped me out and didnt even have to leave the table to place a bet. Top job! The table overlooked the winning post and had its own TV so could watch other racing too. Would recommend to everyone, great value and fun night out. My only issue was finding the joint as I didnt come with my local hosts! Taxi driver didnt know where he was going and maps took us to a bistro instead of the main racecourse! Just make sure you specify main racecourse entrance if you're not local!

one of the best things built in casey was this amazing sports complex. features a top class athletic track, numerous afl ovals including the home of the vfl in Cranbourne. the playspace is one of the best Playgrounds in south east Melbourne. to top it all of is a lake stocked with trout

one of the best parks to visit in this part of Melbourne. various entry points but if you have a car its luck of the draw with street parking. the swans are a highlight and seeing the occasional pelican is a thrill. the playground could be better.
TIP: I like to park at playground on Frankland St.

the hunt club housing estate was built on land that for nearly 75 years was the home of the prestigious Melbourne hunt club which hosted the equestrian elite of Melbourne. the Gardens were renovated in 2003. features a great playground and bbq area. like most Playgrounds in area could do with a bit of weed control
