The entrance has a Majestic Structure. Very well maintained, One of the Important Maths and the presiding deity is Goddess Sharada. One will experience positive vibration as he or she enters the complex. As is customary in most of Karnataka Temples there is Annaprasadam at noon for which there is a big queuer. Partake it if you have time. Walk around and admire the river and serenness.

If you are in Chikmagalur you are physically fit to climb up a steep cliff, then this place is a must for you. We had to park our vehicle at a point and had to rent a jeep for Rs 650 which took us for an extremely bumpy ride and dropped us near the trekking trail. If you have enough time for the trek then you can easily save this money and start your trek from your vehicle parking itself. I don't think you would take much time to reach the start of the trail where these jeeps dropped us. After getting out of the jeep we started following a very narrow mountain trail which brought us in front of a falls. I would advise you to be cautious over here as the road is extremely slippery. The trail ends a few meters after the falls and the main trek starts from here. The road turns a bit steep from there and as we did not have enough time in hand and one of us was not well we did not go till the peak. We climbed till some point, clicked some cool shots and returned. Till the falls I think everybody can go but beyond that (after the trail ends) the climb becomes a little challenging. I would not recommend the climb for elders or people having some medical issues. Wear proper trekking-friendly clothes and shoes and carry enough water with you. Surely the visit to this place was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Chikmagalur.

Mesmerizing Architecture ,The Veera Narayana temple is located in Belavadi, a village in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka state, India. The temple was built during the rule of the Hoysala Empire.29 km from Chikmagalur town on the way to Halebidu ( 12km to Halebidu)
When I visit with family in June, we are the only people around,No guide around.typical of the Hoysala style of architecture, Stunning carving specially on pillars.Over a hundred neatly carved and designed pillars, and a lot of elephant statues of various sizes around .this temple at Belavadi is in no way inferior to Halebidu and Belur. Must add place in your itinerary if you are planing Temple visit in Chickamagalur .Very innocent place , I felt tourism department should work on showcasing this place more effective way and provide basic requirements for tourists . Its a hidden gem of Karnataka , Most of the tourists does not know this place , Fortunately we have been referred by one of Priest we met in Shani Temple in the town ,A big thanks to him
Painful to see Outside sculptures are getting eroded ,quite a few faces on the sculptures are mutilated , Visitors as well contributed along with natural erosion , Some one is gone up to the extent of writing their name on the sculpture , Please help to preserve this beautiful piece of Architecture to our future generation.

Having done some research before, figured out that BMC (Bangalore Mountaineering Club) was the best org to go with if you are a first timer. I didn’t give it a second thought, immediately booked my slot around 1st week of Aug for 19-20th Aug, 2017.
Day 1: 18/08- Friday night 21:00 hrs left from home to board the bus at indiranagar.
Day 2 : 19/08- Saturday- 07:00 hrs, Shamanth our trek advisor announced that we were about to reach in another 10 minutes. We reached & boarded the jeep for the off road traverse to our homestay. We were served idly with hot chai. We had an introduction session post to which we were briefed a little about the dos and don’ts by the team. We commenced our trek and I was almost at the fag end in the entire trail. We tramped over 7 to 8 stunning streams from where I drank the purest of water, before we confronted the 1st steep peak of the trail. In the initial few meters I slithered with all my limbs and a reptilian instinct was infused in me. Seeing me struggling to the core, the trek coordinators appointed a local guide to my rescue. And O man I ascended that peak within no time and by the time I was again by my own self, I realised that I was almost in the middle of the herd from the end where I started.
Stumbling and staggering, I managed to reach the peak of Kudremukh after 4 hours and an onerous last 4 kms trail with 4 steep peaks. We realized that we were almost blown by the chilled wind and rain. Somehow quivered and managed to have our packed lunch. It was all mind game in the last 4 kms of trek.
A mixed feeling of pride, delight, satisfaction and pain hovered around me as I sat there on the bench of the check post waiting for the other guys to join. I paused there for 15 minutes and had retrospection on what I did. As a matter of fact, I would have never imagined myself in such adverse situations combatting my fears, testing my endurance, dealing with leeches like flies, managing with all limited resources and yet alive and safe.
We were served hot chilli bhajjis and chai after our return. At 20:00 hrs dinner was served & I hogged like I had never had food before.
Day 3 : 20/08- Sunday- Wakeup call by Shamanth at 6:00 hrs to go to a nearby waterfall. We had sumptuous breakfast & started our journey back to Bangalore. On the way, we halted to see the magnificent Belur temple, had lunch at Hassan and finally reached Bangalore by 20:00 hrs.
A lifetime experience of trek to the most happening 9 hours of my life had come to an end. These 22 kms and 9 hours had made me know so much about myself & I am thankful to all the trekkers who inspired me, BMC for such a wonderful experience, parents & friends who believed in me. Signing off saying I am looking forward to many such experiences and this was just the start.

This place is a NO NO for
a. FAMILIES
b. OLD PEOPLE
c. KIDS
d. EVEN LADIES: Not because ladies cant, but because its totally unsafe, and no polic no checkpost, no humanity around , no teastall, total Wilderness and anything can happen ( such as mugging, theifs, anti socials)
Experience is surreal and amazing, this is total remoteness and Wilderness and a falls in middle of that.
Also the jeep ride that takes you to the fall is a totally totally adventure ride to the point of being dangerous even. Its actually more challenging than some big roller coaster, without any of the safety belts.
Go there if you are young, male, with no posessions, have some local guy who knows kannada accompanying you, and love adventure. Not recomended for any other category.

We have been to kudremukh national park by unknowingly but we enjoyed the visit there is nothing much to see in the forest apart from the atmosphere roads and forest other than this you will not find anything, It is actually an banded area because in early days late 90s there was company which was in the same area so because of that company it has been improved alot with loads of amenities and there is hospital which has a very big equipment where as using that equipment they treat any disease and the company used to pay 1 lakh per month to the employees working in that company but now the same company has been moved to banglore so the place became left out silent you find a temple school and closed hospital there that's it nothing else
The best part of the forest dept is they give you a token which is valid for 1 hour and 30mins only either you have to come from the forest with in the time or reach the other side of the forest checkpost with in the same time, if you fail to do such now the forest dept role play starts either you got stucked in forest or doing something in forest
