Seriously awesome park and it's great to ride your bike there and especially go on the huge hill and it's off of St.clair in Chatham ontario and the best part is actually the water park it's huge

The renovations to this movie theatre are superb in terms of Seating comfort, visibility and overall decor.
The Seating is 1200 + with great views from all seats, good acoustics, stage size and washrooms and bar areas.
We recently attended a Buddy Holly tribute show starring Jeff Giles who put on a fun filled , excellent musical show featuring music of that era.
Parking is nearby and free , restaurant choices are available within a 2 minute walk or all over the city.
Well done City of Chatham and St. Clair College on the renovations and use of this great venue !!

THE ELGIN SETTLEMENT, which was for many the last stop on the Underground Railroad, was founded in 1849. THE MUSEUM SITE INCLUDES the Buxton Museum, S.S. #13 Raleigh (Buxton) Schoolhouse (1861), the Colbert/Henderson Cabin (1854), and the Shadd Barn (restoration completed in 2009). Local church Cemeteries (1857) are on the grounds adjacent to the museum. Facilities include a large picnic shelter and barbecue, washrooms, a wheelchair access ramp to the museum and plenty of free parking. Of special note is the Research Area, which contains resource materials, pertaining to local history and genealogy.

This is a fantastic place to visit to learn all about the Black slaves who settled here on the Underground Road. The lady who rook us on a personal tour, Shannon Prince, is a 6th generation relative of one of these free slaves.
She gave us a fantastic history of the area, took us in the school, which she attended along with her siblings in the 60.s. The schoolhouse alone is worth the entrance fee of just $5 for seniors. Here were taught, in one big classroom, children from Grade 1 to Grade 8. There were over 100 children taught by one teacher back in the late 1800's. It still has the original tin walls & is a brilliant place to reminisce about your own school days & what an easy ride we had in education.
The church on the site is worth a visit too as is the cemetery where a lot of the first settlers are laid to rest..
This little piece of history is well worth a visit & worth every penny of the entrance fee.

The OPP Veterans' Association held its 47th Annual General Meeting at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre on May 26th and 27th, 2016. It was a two day affair culminating with a closing banquet. The event was almost two years in the planning in consultation with Carol Summers, the Event Manager. She was a great help in coordinating our meetings and responding to our every whim. The meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner were all catered and worth every penny.....a hearty well done to Andy, Carol and all the support staff for a job well done!

it's a really small gallery but it contains video, real artifacts, poems, providing an interesting view experience. right now it's slave history and students' art.

ARTspace is a not-for-profit gallery dedicated to the promotion and development of Chatham-Kent artists engaged in contemporary visual arts practice. Exhibitions and art works change every 6 weeks and are accompanied by artist talks and workshops. ARTspace features a gift shop with locally, hand made goods such as fashions, jewellery, bird houses and ceramics.

Great selection of craft beers coupled with great service. Sons of Kent provides a unique anchor to the eastern section of the downtown core. Steps from the Retro Suites, Armories and Tecumseh Park. Great place to visit. They do not have a food menu at the present time but are looking into options. Highly recommended - stop by for a sampler of beer.

For over 60 years, the museum has been selectively acquiring artifacts of local and national significance. Through Exhibitions, public programs, educational tours, and a museum gift shop, the museum staff provide opportunities for people to engage, interact, and enjoy the community's stories and artifacts. The Chatham-Kent Museum also includes the restored Milner Heritage House that depicts the turn-of-the-century lifestyle of a successful industrialist and his family. Costumed interpreters take visitors back in time to 1905 when stereoscopes, gramophones, and magic lanterns were the family's means of entertainment and a "modern" kitchen consisted of a wood stove, ice box and a new, all-purpose "Chatham" cupboard.

While the museum presents artifacts of the the cities past it was passive and not very engaging. Like a lot of small town museums they provide local info for history buffs.Thank you for your comment. Staff is super helpful. Easy access to newspaper archives, geneological records, you name it. Also a dozen computers available upstairs for easy internet access. Btw, there is a cafe off the downstairs front lobby that offers fresh home made baked goods , all beverages, and light lunches.
