We found this site extremely difficult to find even though we later realised we had travelled past it several times on the SS113. The sign to the actual ruins is quite small and not like the expected white on brown signs seen elsewhere for attractions. The ruins themselves are disappointing as they are overgrown with weeds and you can't really get to them. As my partner is blind, I usually pace such places out with her so that she gets an idea of the size of temples etc but this was not possible. Other than a few display boards given details of the ancient site there isn't a lot more to see than can be seen from the road. We got the impression from a staff member on the site that you had to get a ticket from the museum to see the ruins but this proved not to be so - the ticket is just for the museum.
The museum, which is up a hill above the site, is quite interesting. I would suggest driving here rather than walking although it would be possible to walk - go down the road with the car park on the left and ruins on the right and take the next turning left and follow the road up to the museum. There is a charge of €2 to go into the museum. We were given a large binder containing an English translation of the large boards of text in the Museum. The English used was tortuous to say the least and in some place, nearly incomprehensible. As there was so much text (almost the size of a small novel!) I ended up just scan Reading it and sharing the odd tidbit of information (and occasional funny translations!) with my partner. There are some impressive exhibits in the museum such as the artwork from the temple, the mosaic floor, the lion's head, and the massive amphora. Also the skeletons that seemed to positioned in blocks of sand were interesting.
I have suggested a visit time of 1-2hrs just for the sheer amount of Reading that you could end up doing.

This beach used to be a horrid beach, but now with all the effort that hs been put into cleaning, this beach is lovely. There is plenty of parking and a camp site nearby. There are some lidos but a lot of the beach is for use by everyone

This was one of my best Holiday experiences!
Having read a review prior to our trip, we stumbled across it immediately on hitting Cefalu .
There are just 3 small tables on the balcony which is the perfect viewing spot for a stunning view of Sunset so booking a couple of days ahead is essential (Book a table @ 7:30 ish and you can have it until 9pm)
We ordered a glass of Prosecco and were asked our preference - sweet, fruity, dry? As we both have differing palates, the drinks were perfect!!
(€5 per glass in prime spot, what's not to like?!)
Having ordered a mixed antipasti, which was delicious, the only suggestion to improve the experience would be to actively check if Customers require additional drinks - that said I realised on exit there's a sign saying 'we are here' so I understand and appreciate them not being pushy but perhaps a balance to be struck?
An absolute must do if you are a wine lover.....

Collesano is a small town in the Province of Palermo. This town is situated roughly about 70km from the provincial capital of Palermo and it lies in the Madonie Park.
The town is very quiet and the people are relax. On our arrival we parked near the Carabinieri station as there was ample free parking. We enjoyed our walk along the peaceful streets of this town. We visited the Basilica of St.Peter which at first we tought that it was closed but a gentle resident told us that we could enter inside the Basilica from the right hand side door. The Basilica is very well maintained and the decorations are very beautiful pieces of art. I suggest that if you are in the area you will visit the town of Collesano and especially the Basilica and for sure you will not be disappointed.

Lido Giglio s.a.s. is a seaside resort, family-run Lido situated in the sea of Campofelice di Roccella - Pa opposite the clear and warm waters of the Tyrrhenian coast of Sicily. The Lido Giglio is characterized by the sensation of being at the center of care, the attention typical of those who despite being our guest, perceives to be a friend forever.
This family run seafront bar/snack bar & sunbathing area is without doubt one of the friendliest places you could ever want to visit with the added bonus of superb food at very good prices. Sit,relax, soak up the sun & dine with lovely people. The girl behind the bar is Stephanie, the cook is her mother & her brother helps out waiting tables.

We visited the Kartodromo with a free five lap voucher from the Pestana Race Hotel, just up the road. We booked another ticket and raced two karts. The staff are friendly and efficient, explaining everything clearly and making sure you have a good time. Our 8 year old son loved his first driving experience. You cannot race in a dress so my wife had to watch the first time but got some great videos from the stand.
You also cannot race in flip flops but there is a free loan of shoes and helmets.
We had such a great time that we went back and all three of us raced again later in the week. It's best to go early evening to avoid the heat and the crush. It can get quite busy. The karts are very fast, very safe and loads of fun for all ages, even when you skid!

We spent out time on the beach at the Pura Vida Lido during two days. We rented sun beds and a parasol. The restaurant serves good food and restrooms are clean. Good choice.

Being interested in cars, these museums always attract my attention. This is very small and primarily showcases pictures of the famous road race and some artefacts like helmets and suits. There are no cars on display. The hostess was very attentive and helpful towards us and other visitors.
As said, it is small, there are no cars on display but still, if you like historic photos of races, a must go visit. The drive of the targa florio circuit is also recommendable.

Great place with direct access to the ocean. Very shallow water - so good for kids. Nice beachchairs and good service.
