These ruins sit on top of a hill overlooking Stari Bar and down towards the coastline. There are therefore incredible views at sunset. The ruins themselves are impressive and easily accessible. They are easy to walk around and you can really imagine what life was like before the earthquake. Some more description in English would have been helpful though so make sure you do some research before going to fill in the gaps.

a small church situated on the top of the hill near the beach Mali Maljevik shows that people of diffrent religions can live together, cooperate. The church has 2 oltars- ortodoks ikonostas and catolik oltar- everyone can come there to pray. How bad it's close for the most of the time. How bad- religions of this world can take it as an example.

The church looks impressive from the outside, you can see its golden dome from far away. But it is located on a road in Bar, not much around it apart from supermarkets and cars passing by. It seems there is not something like a touristic center of Bar or Old Town, because the old town is actually the ruins up the hill. :) The church is quite new, apparently from the year of 2006 and it is not finished yet from the inside.

The title says it all, a great souvenir shop owned and operated by people that live there their whole lives, so you can get a souvenir and a great history lesson if you want.. Lots of hand made souvenirs..

To get here you need to turn off the main road and onto dirt road. Drive all the way to the ''parking'' area close to the houses.
Path down to the beach is steep with a lot of stairs, it's concrete.
Beach is sandy and pebble round stones.
There is nice small caffe with great and cheap cocktails and great deep house music.
Sun goes down around 18h
Water is clean and warm.

The Old Olive Tree, a symbol of the city of Bar, is the oldest tree in Europe – it has been there for over 2,000 years. It grows in the place Mirovica on the fifth kilometre from the city of Bar to Ulcinj. This natural monument is older than any written monument about the city of Bar and its inhabitants. The Old Olive Tree in Mirovica is a natural monument protected by the law in 1963. It is over 2,000 years old and is considered to be the oldest tree in Europe. Its circumference is 10 m. The legend says that feuding families would come to the Old Olive Tree and this is where they would make peace.
The only interesting thing about it is the fact that it's that old and could have witnessed a lot of history and in fact has survived through this history. As a site - nice but nothing special. 2€ entrance fee.

Boat trip to the Queens Beach An unforgettable experience - Perfect holiday feeling The Queen's beach is located in the north of the resort Canj. This small but very attractive beach can only be reached from the water side. We start with our yacht (8.5 m long) from Bar to the north. After passing numerous small bays we headed straight for the Queens beach . While driving, you will enjoy a breathtaking Panorama of the coast and the Mountains beyond . Only a few meters from the Queens beach we anchor and make our first stop. Because of the wonderful atmosphere, the beautiful sand and crystal clear sea, this was the favorite beach of the last Montenegrin Queen Milena Petrovic during her summer vacation at the castle Topolica. It's time for swimming and snorkeling and the fridge of the yacht is filled with beverages for you. Even small snacks are available on board. With our underwater camera, you can capture the best moments over and under water . Now we head for the next destination, the island of Sveta Neđjelja in Petrovac. On the island there is a small chapel, which was built according to the history of sailors as they escaped after a shipwreck on the island. We stop just off the island and you have the opportunity to ascend to the chapel. From there you have a beautiful panoramic view over the sea and the coast. On the way back we stop at several other beautiful bays and there is again ample opportunity for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing.
Meeting at 8 am at Bar Marina Michael welcomes us on his comfortable sport yacht. Off we go along the coast stopping at nice Beaches for swimming, at a little church island for ringing the curch bell and locking at the famous Sveti Stefan hotel...MoreThank you very much for that great review! We are very happy that you enjoyed the excursion. It provides real holiday feeling, seeing the famous queens beach, the island of Sveti Nedjeleja and of course Sveti Stefan from the sea side. Kind regards from Montenegro!

Forest would be gorgeous if it weren't completely littered with garbage, human feces, used condoms, etc.
The church ruin smells like rotten garbage.
Great mountain views from 2 vantage points.
Peer downward to see the naked men all over the Beaches. Feels like a gay hookup beach scene. Nothing wrong with that, but the place is filthy & seedy.
No women in sight.

It's not the nicest beach I've ever been on. It is bigger area than some other Beaches on the coastline of Montenegro. So, people are not sitting on top of each other (in early September).
Bar beach is a rocky beach. It's free if you want to sit on the rocks. We happily rented a pair of lounge chairs for 5 Euros. The water was clean and refreshing on a hot day. There's a nice view of the Mountains. It's hard to walk into the water because of the rocks. Once you get into the water, the rocks become sand. And the waves were very calm. It was really pleasant.

All the Beaches run into one another but all are covered in stones which makes getting into the sea very uncomfortable ! Packed with locals all day long ( does nobody work or go to school ) plenty of sun beds and umbrella for hire for 5 euro for 2 and if you stay in the sato hotel they have their own section with beds included. Bit scruffy but that's the general area
