One of nature's many wonders, the sea recedes massively from the beach during ebb and returns to fill the emptiness during high tide. This hide-and-seek of the sea comes to play twice a day and seeing the sea disappear and then return is an unforgettable experience
he best part of this place is that it is elevated as a high platform with benches to seat properly. There is a statue of APJ Abdul Kalam and whole platform as well as path coming towards beach is lighted during night.
The Chandipur beach is also well known for its proximity to the Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) Integrated Test Range which is situated on the way to chandipur beach.
It is India's most advanced missile testing site in the Bay of Bengal should now be named 'Kalam Island'. The missiles which were launched from the Wheeler Island include Akash, Agni, Astra, BrahMos, Nirbhay, Prahaar, Prithvi, Shaurya and Advanced Air Defence, and Prithvi Air Defence.

It was a not so cold December morning when I reached Balasore railway station in Odisha . Balasore or Baleswar is the gateway to Debagiri , the abode of god , 30 kms . away from Kuldiha wild life sanctuary. The journey to Panchalingeswar is through a road full of trees which make it a shadowy and beautiful one . Once you reach the foothill , the jungle of big trees in between the huge rocks will fill your heart with its beauty . After a small ascending there are about 260 steps to go up to top of the hill . The slope is not a tough one , rather a gradual ascend . The hill is full of lush green trees . The stream is coming down from the top and flowing between the rocks and trees on the both side of the steps ,being divided in two or more branches. The serene and beautiful scenery is simply mesmerising , specially if you are a nature lover .The view of the far away landscape is so beautiful from the top . Then after descending down a few steps one gets the view of the stream coming down with a gush . Under the flow of the stream on the steep slope of the rock there are five natural Shiv Lingas which one can touch leaning over the flow .
Panchalingeswar is accessible by road from Balasore . Hired vehicles are available from the town .Bus service is there through Nilagiri town .

Though this FRH is closed for general visitors, but for a nightstay in the Sanctuary you can check in to Nature's camp (9km from this place) and have a wonderful stay, and you can visit this FRH during evening to sight wildlife at its premises. Kuldiha sanctuary is known for elephant, gaur, sambar, spotted deer, giant squirrel, a variety of bird species. And if you are lucky enough you can spot leopards on your way - be careful.

This is the fourth popular Jagannatha temple of Odisha after Puri, the ‘Shabara Shreekshetra’ in Koraput and the Baripada Jagannatha temple.
Jagannatha along with his elder brother Balabhadra and younger sister Subhadra are worshipped in the main temple. The temple was built by a king of the Harichandan dynasty of Nilagiri. It is Situated in the foothills of Swarnachuda hills, the Jagannatha temple remains cool even during summer. There are many small temples for deities like Vimala, Ganesha and Shiva in the temple premises. This temple is a fusion of Puri Jagannath Temple and Konark Sun Temple in architecture.

Kuldiha is one of the best sanctuaries to visit in Orissa along with Bhitarkanika and Simplipal. The sanctuary is usually closed from mid June till October for it is the mating season for the wildlife inhabiting the jungle. If you are an adventurist, the best place to stay here is the Jorachua Forest Rest house lying deep inside the jungle. The FRH has no electricity except for a few solar lights and expect no mobile network. The rest house has trenches surrounding it to avoid the entry of wild animals which visit the borders of the campus regularly.Prior booking is a must and it can be done through the Orissa Forest Dept or through one of the authorized guides. The place has plenty of elephants and bisons.Jeep drive inside the dense jungles with eerie silence is one of the best experiences you can have.I visited this place with my family and friends in June'15 and planning to visit here again in November.
