Soak up the sun on the well-maintained beaches of Agadir, southern Morocco's most-visited city. Palm-lined boulevards and beachfront bars add a decidedly Western-resort feel, amplified by the large number of Europeans who flock here in the winter months. It’s all about laid-back relaxation in Agadir, so ride a camel, rent a beach buggy, check out the Suq al-Had market or take the 20-minute walk up to the ruins of the Agadir Kasbah for expansive city views if you’re taking a break from the beach.

A huge crocodile head marks the main entrance of the parc. An innovative concept and a unique project in Agadir, in the south of Morocco. The farm within the Atlantic area contains more than 300 of Nil crocodiles (Crocodylus niloticus). The architecture and the design of the parc give the feeling to be in a forest, offering you the sight of a lot of unique trees and plants varieties.
Came on a sunny day as a solo traveller. The guide's were very welcoming and happy. There were so many exotic plants, water falls and trees. The crocodiles literally sunbathed all day. Was very interesting and took many photos and videos. There is a very nice cafe in the park. I ordered a margarita pizza and a pina cokada. The waiters were kind but the meal didn't taste that great. Probably as pizza isn't a Moroccan dish.
One hour was enough time to go around and eat. I paid 300 dirahms for my taxi there and back. Entrance was around 70 dirahms.

welcom to Agadir in any time.Agadir is a major city in Morocco, located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean near the foot of the Atlas Mountains, just north of the point where the Sous River flows into the ocean. It is 508 km south of Casablanca. It is the capital of the Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane Prefecture and of the Souss-Massa economic region. A majorit
Very pleasant walk on the Promenade. Very refreshing.
From about 3pm onwards the blazing sun mellows to be warm yet more gentle.
You do get beggars on the Promenade. Some can be very aggressive and target the 'soft tourists', and others are very grateful for whatever you can give them.
Cycling on the Promenade is banned from around the Mcdonalds all the way till the Iberostar Hotel (maybe safety reasons?). A shame because it used to be a great ride.

This shimmering expanse of breezy coast is dotted with romantic outdoor cafes and water sports activities.
The beach is really nice and the sunsets are amazing.
The sea is beautiful and the views are fantastic.
All the Seating areas are also really good.
Only problem was on day 6 of our holiday a dead body was washed up on the Beach!!! Hope this was a one off!!!

A bit bamboozled by folk who say this is an un-missable experience. Its ok for a few hours but even then it could be missed. Perhaps we were expecting too much based on other reviews, or perhaps we are simply spoiled by a previous visit to the Souk in the Medina in Marrakech (which really is fantastic, a type of Aladdins Cave experience!). We found this Souk in Agadir to be small, quite smelly, and the goods on offer were in the main, pretty shoddy, even for a market. Its ok I guess, but don't worry if you don't get there.

We were expecting a beautiful bay and were not disappointed but on closer inspection found drain water pouring on to the beach, rubbish everywhere, mess from the fishermen and a very poor paseo. It could be really lovely but it looks tired and scruffy. There are sun beds on the beach and the obligatory camel and horse rides.
The restaurants overlooking the sea are attractive and very reasonably priced.
It is good for beginners Surfing and gentle swimming.

We were told it was a 2 hour trek we had paid for. Unfortunately we literally got on a minibus and were driven up the Mountains, stopping at more blooming argan trees and outlets (which we were sick of by the 3rd day!), we sat in the minibus for this one while everyone else went in because we thought we were pretty much experts at this point.
There was a lot of litter at the roadsides which was sad, but the further up the mountain you got, the greener it became which was beautiful. Unfortunately we didnt get to see any of the Waterfalls or diving pools i had seen when i was researching on the internet. I was a little disappointed that the tour finished at the top, by being taken in yet another shop that we still didnt want to buy anything from. There was no trekking involved, so i was confused why we were told to wear walking shoes. We literally would stop at the side of the road and get out for 5 minutes before being taken on again. I'm sure the valley is beautiful and i'm positive we missed out on some of the better places. Maybe because it was out of season they didnt bother with the trek. Some young lads we spoke to the previous day had told us the trek nearly killed them so we must have been on a totally different tour!

You notice this massive hill from the sky as your plane approaches Agadir. It has giant lit up writing on it, God, Country, King. From the moment of arrival it kept stealing my attention even more so than the Marina.
Eventually, we decided to go up just before sunset. It does take time to drive up there and we payed 100 MAD for 3 of us, so plan well. Addtiioally make sure you take the drivers number to call him back once you are done.
As you pull to the end of the road you will see 5 camels with their respective owners. You can walk around on these. I didnt.
You will see a line of street sellers. I found this was cheaper than the Souks, so ended up buying a whole load of gifts. Do try to have a chat with the sellers. They tell interesting shores and part with a bit of their souls.
The site it self is a huge ruin. So there are areas you cannot visit or access. The view is immence.
You see the whole city, and mountain ranges ahead.
We sat there for an hour witnessing the sun set, and then simply absorbing the peace and tranquility whilst watching the hustle and bustle down below.
I wish i spent more time at the end of every day here.

Over priced shops and restaurants because its on a marina. Personally I wouldn't bother. You cant even walk to the ebdbof the breakwater to take pictures as its fenced off. The yachts are not that great either
