The most scenic theatre in Canada, the Thousand Islands Playhouse has two theatres on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, halfway between Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Featuring the longest decks in the region, The Springer Theatre is an intimate air conditioned vintage "canoe club" - and seats 360 with proscenium style Seating. The Firehall Theatre is a heritage building with flexible Seating open to innovative staging.
A small theatre and outstanding location right on the water. Love the small Seating format allows for great viewing everywhere. We make a habit to make a day of it with shopping in the area, afternoon theatre and dinner.
The play Leading Ladies has been the funniest play I've seen in a lot time. Some real side splitting laughter. So recommended.
Parking is on one of the streets near by. The entrance to the Springer Theatre is down a steep paved road. For those that have difficulty, they have a golf cart shuttle.
There is a 2nd theatre at the street level. But I'm biased as the Springer Theatre has such a fine view.
The drink bar has a small selection of drinks including beer, wine, pop and water.
Easily to book tickets on-line or phone them.
Always a good time. Recommended

Started my day by visiting this park - a lot of big birds!! trying to enjoy the sculptures you have to be very careful where you step as the whole walking trail is littered with bird feces.....nice view up top - not great to step!!

I live near the casino, minutes away. When the government was running it the overall atmosphere was far more pleasent than now. It's difficult to find an attendent when you requre help as the staff have been cut. Navigation is difficult as they blocked the main corridor with machines (one would think escape hazzard). The food is about the same, very average. Overall, it's a place to gamble but that's about it.

Micro-brewery located in a gorgeous 19th Century industrial building in downtown Gananoque. Tasting room is open from noon to 9pm. Tours every day at 1, 3, 5 and 7 pm. Tasting sampler is $5 for four different local beers.
Great location close to the Gananoque river in an old historic building once used to make carriage parts in the 19th century. They do brewery tours and tastings. Also a patio when the weather is conducive. Close to shopping and restaurants. Some pretty good beers and should continue developing great beers!

The price is based on your desire to make a donation. Interesting summary of many items. Upstairs, there is a wonderful video on Boldt Castle and how it had come into creation, fallen into massive disrepair and current status of renovation. For us, it was wonderful and saved us from having to take a 5 hour boat tour to get there.

The roof is what first attracted us to this lovely church in Gananoque. Although it is not made of copper the roof itself it quite stunning and a wonderful example of this architectural style and reminiscent of French church architecture of a slightly earlier period. The church also has lovely stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings and although not as ornate as some European churches is a great example of early North American style of the era. definitely worth a visit.

The Gananoque waterfront is just down from the Gananoque Inn and features the Joel Stone Waterfront Park. In the summer it is a great place for swimming, picnics and self directed family activities on the grass. There is a very nice, if a bit smaller beach area and great views of the water from everywhere in the park. You can bring your own food or visit a food truck. They sometimes have music events. We were there on a warm winter day and enjoyed walking around the area and ventured onto the nearby concrete and steel docks to talk to the ice fishermen. This is a beautiful area not to be missed.

This is a gorgeous drive at 80 perfect Kilometres an hour. Enjoy! Stop at Rockport. Stop at the 1000 Island National Park - with or without kids. There is also a nice public beach with excellent facilities. ( the beach and amenities provide a multi- culti sensitive place and facilities). The perfect Antidote to the 401!

Office Staff are not interested in being helpful. We BEGGED to have a spot close to land as we have an old dog & it is hard for him to make it a long distance. It is a MAJOR hike from many of the docks to land. Was told there were no spots available, including 2 specific docks we inquired about. TOld that they never put boats our size (37 foot) there as it crowds the areas too much. The spots were empty for our stay, then suddenly they were occupied by boats longer than ours. WHen we asked why, we were told that they had reserved them. Asked them why we could not have been there for our stay which the day those boats got there. No answer. Reality was that they were full & decided to let boats stay there. So they do not care at all about guests, just revenue. They were rude. Staff on docks helping dock & disembark were very good.
