Australian first working dog kennel open to the public for 1 hour sit down shows of law enforcement dog demonstrations and training. Visitors see training and demonstrations from protection, detection and agility dogs. There are often chances to be involved with puppy patting or helping hide training packages for the detection dogs to find. The show is behind a safety fence in a covered arena. Onsite - Truffle Discovery Centre includes Truffiere tours of our truffle bed, truffle detection dog training area, interactive gallery and tastings. Enjoy an above ground all year round truffle hunt with our detection dogs.
Went to the Lawdogs display show at The Summit near Stanthorpe. A very entertaining and educational show mainly about the training of dogs from puppies to full grown dogs for use by security services. The demonstrator gave a great explanation of procedures and results. There is certainly something for everyone in The Granite Belt. Whether it is bushwalking in Girraween National Park, camping amongst the kangaroos or visiting the numerous wineries and other tourist attractions, the Granite Belt has it.
Over the years we have spent numerous weekends in and around the area. The wines are awesome and tend to be reasonably priced. We just Donnelly’s Castle and the views from the top of the Granite boulders. A real hidden gem. In this trip we really enjoyed the cheeses at Stanthorpe Cheeses.
I’m sure we will return as there is always something be to do which pops up.

The Stanthorpe Museum is well worth visiting. We spent a lot of time going through every building looking at every little thing. It is full of old time memorabilia and gives a wonderful insight into the early settlers in the area and their lives. Don't miss it.

Our vineyard was planted in 1999 and since then we have progressively increased our production to meet demand. We are two ex school teachers who made a tree change to the Granite Belt to grow grapes, make wine and open a cellar door. It’s a hands-on operation as all processes are completed by the two of us on site. We skillfully create regional wines that exhibit strong varietal fruit characters.
After sampling Pyramids Road Wines at a favourite restaurant of ours on the Sunshine Coast, it was on the list for our latest trip to the Granite Belt. Greeted at the cellar door by four legged friends with tails wagging, we then met Warren, the owner and winemaker at Pyramids Road Wines. Warren is an exceptional host and winemaker and we spent a good half hour, sampling his wines and discussing the industry and life in general. The reds we sampled were exceptional examples of Granite Belt wines and we left with several bottles in hand destined for our cellar. If you're genuinely interested in acquiring quality wines from this district, and the opportunity to talk directly with the winemaker, put Pyramids Road Wines at the top of your list.

After a number of wineries and coffee this was a nice break. Only 10 km off highway on north end of town, small amount of dirt road though. Not much further than the cheese factory, and only 50 m walk from the car park. Small opening in large rocks allow you to get through to enclosed area, and 100 m to lookout on top of the rocks. Has toilets as well

A very nice place to visit, smells very nice. The owner is very friendly, treats you more like family than a customer. Lots of Oils, and Lavender products at very reasonable prices. Also has a coffee shop. And we noticed they have camping.

We were lucky enough that our visit coincided with the Stanthorpe Art Festival and wow, what a surprise! The talent on display was amazing and we spent far longer here than expected. If you're in town before 23 July, don't miss visiting this great little gallery.
