Chaya Someswara Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. We found that the temple was more than 1000 years old. It was in lonely place so nobody was there except us. There was no light in Garbhgruha but we found that there was sun light on Shivlinga. According to mythology, the temple got the name as it is believed that there in an everlasting shadow on Lord Shiva’s lingam in the main temple, all time. Well maintained temple in the midst of serene surroundings for both the devout and non-Jains alike. We were moved by the gesture of fellow pilgrims for having provided fee meals though we are "technically" non-jains.
Environment is suffused with serenity, spirituality and peace.
Lunch is delicious.

In telugu language pachha means green colour this temple shivlinga named as pachla someswara temple because the shiva linga is sculpted in green onax stone during kakatiya dinacity looks so beautiful and the temple premises is thou small the pillars and the mandapam where people can sit and relax is built in black granite . Kakatiyas are followers of lord shiva may be that is the reason why in these parts of the state you find more number of shiva temples built by veera shivates .the arctecture is very impressive the hindu mithalogical stories are engraved on the walls and pillars .we are impressed with dashavtara of lord vishnu 10 avataars .there is also a museum attached to this temple with many broken idols and some of the old photos and some coins etc. somebody has to really take care of these areas to preserve history.

Bhongir Fort

Reviewed By RajibGhosh - Hyderabad, AP

Accessible through a diminutive entrance within the Bhongir town, the gate-keeper charges you Rs.10/- for a camera but allows mobile devices through. I did not bother to enlighten him that my mobile phone shoots better images than most cameras.
The ramshackle fort appears to be a vestige of an era that you will never discover because there is just no information available on site. No boards, banners, posters - nothing. There is a statue of a gentleman at the bottom of the hill who maybe connected to the fort in some way but with no placards mentioning any details, he will remain anonymous.
The initial climb-up the hill is a gentle gradient of steps apparently recently cut in granite. The stair case progressively gets narrower, higher and broken.
The entire fort complex remains hidden till you actually take crucial turns. There is just no way to know how far you have to climb and what is it that you are climbing for.
The stairs are filled with sand that make it a little dangerous to climb-up / down but you they are passable. The entrance arches / cul-de-sac you encounter along the way are in dilapidated condition. A light and sound show is unimaginable.
After a fairly long climb, you arrive at the top of the hill, only to discover that it is a plateau and there is another even steeper hill to climb.
Quite honestly, my legs buckled at the Prospect and I chose to tuck my tail and begin the climb-down to the base.
Forts in India are rarely like the Rajasthani forts we see in the prospectus. Most of them are in ruins. History and architecture buffs would love it and the generally public would be enlightened if there was some attention paid to educating them about the unique features.
Case in point, the arches at Bhongir fort display beautiful examples of Keystone construction but it was only evident to me because I am aware of the concept.
My wife marvelled at what it would be like to live so high up in the fort and I wondered about the plight of the servants who had to run up and down all-day to fetch groceries for a fickle minded queen.
