Book shop, antiquities and a small friendly cafe. Pop in and have a browse. Great choice of coffees. Soft drinks too.

a bit late in coming this one...we were staying close to the old inn over new year and found ourselves in the pub on 2 or 3 occasions. New years eve was really busy but good nonetheless with decent beer and good music. Staff varied between excellent and indifferent...but a cracking place to have a pint and a bite to eat.

Situated opposite the Talisker Whisky distillery this coffee shop is a great place to get some drinks and eats while you wait for your tour of the distillery. They boasted that the Victoria sponge baked by Cathy (I think) was the best anywhere so we tried it and it was spectacular. As a lover of great cakes this took the blue ribbon. The coffee was also excellent. Not much for Seating but there's a great view and a nice walk along the road too. Bottom line is that if you have never had Victoria sponge cake this is the ultimate place to get it. Warning though, it will spoil you for anywhere else's cake. But who cares, just eat it here.

Wee, family-run cafe with indie bookstore and emporium selling vintage finds, retro wares and handmade treasures. We offer all-day breakfast, light meals and homebaking, as well as specialty teas, espresso coffee and Bundaberg drinks. We are halfway between Talisker Distillery and Dunvegan Castle on the west coast of the Isle of Skye.
We found this gem of a cafe on the way to the Fairy Pools during our visit of Skye. What a lovely cafe/bookstore. The owners/servers were incredibly friendly, warm and delightful. The food and coffee was excellent. I had one of the best scones I've ever had. Being surrounded by books, many about the Isle of Skye itself, was an added pleasure. We liked it so much that we will include a photo of it in the photobook we are creating of our once-in-a-lifetime Scotland vacation.
