The City Circle Tram is a free and convenient way to see the sights of central Melbourne and the Docklands while experiencing a ride on one of the city's much loved heritage trams. An audio commentary provides details of city landmarks and major attractions such as the City Museum, Parliament House, Docklands, Federation Square, Melbourne Aquarium and the Princess Theatre. The City Circle Tram also links with other tram, train and bus routes around Melbourne. To catch the City Circle Tram, simply wait at any tram stop along the City Circle Tram route. These tram stops are specially marked with a City Circle sign.Trams operate in both directions every 12 minutes between 10am and 6pm from Sunday to Wednesday and between 10am and 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.City Circle Trams do not run on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Nice that the city it's on free trams, especially in a time when people are lining up for your money - for example try parking in the city!
There are a few reasonable parking buildings that will not fleece you, then you can ride the tram around to where you wanna go for free.
Also there's the nostalgic side. These are old well restored trams, a bit rickity and noisy, not exactly my style, but I can see lots of people appreciate such things, so has to almost be a must if your coming to admire the Victorian era of the city.

Set against amazing views of Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait the Gardens vary widely; including fern gullies, rose Gardens, orchards and lakes. Panoramic Lookouts are numerous and a great place to relax on sheltered Seating. The variety of plants is extensive and used to dramatic effect against amazing rock work. Wildlife is interesting and includes albino kangaroos, peacocks, llamas and emus wandering the acreage.
It was well worth booking on the website where open times are clearly listed.

This is our second trip to this attraction in Echuca and not to be missed. Neil has collected by far an impressive amount of memorabilia, including Australian farm machinery, historical Cobb & co coaches, horse drawn carriages, transport items, homewares and of course his beer collection!
This is a not to be missed visit, not just for the blokes.

Port Campbell National Park is world famous for its extraordinary collection of wave-sculpted rock formations and the Twelve Apostles. Loch Ard Gorge, site of the 19th century shipwreck 'Loch Ard', as well as the Island Archway and London Bridge are other highlights. The Island Archway collapsed in 2009, highlighting the fragile and ever-changing nature of Victoria's coastline. Start your visit by heading to the Twelve Apostles Kiosk and Carpark before taking the walk to view the amazing Twelve Apostles coastline. The site offers kiosk, information, shelter and toilets. Walk the short distance (500m) through a tunnel under the Great Ocean Road to various Lookouts offering expansive, breathtaking views. From the Twelve Apostles carpark there is also an easy 2.2km return walk to Gibson Steps Lookout. The lookout is above the beach with excellent views East and West. Port Campbell National Park lies between Princetown and Peterborough, 285 km west of Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road (4-5 hours drive), and 240 km from Melbourne via Colac.
There are so many beautiful views in this National Park and its well worth a good explore, but be aware how popular it can be at peak times. It is simply stunning though, so take a camera. Lots of easily accessible walkways make it a great place for all ages and abilities.

We hired a car from Melbourne airport and followed the Princes Highway to Torquay. We the meandered onwards stopping over night in Lorne, which was a pretty village. We the set off for 12 apostles via otway lighthouse which was a worthwhile detour. We stopped at Apollo Bay beforehand for a coffee.
If you can stop at Gibson steps before the twelve apostles I would do so to avoid the crowds and access the beach. Twelve apostles was very crowded with too many tourists for our liking. Also a shame that a snake minding its own business had stones thrown at it by ignorant tourists, pity it didn't bite them. Also saw a Wallaby.
Port Cambell was a pleasant quiet resort.

We wanted to see the area, but weren't keen on carrying a tent and gear for 6 days. Instead we opted for a cottage on Cape Otway with 4 days of selected walks (drove to a different trailhead each day). It worked much better for us.

This memorial provides a fitting tribute to those who served in Vietnam and has a number of items on display including a helicopter, a Centurion tank and field gun.
There is also a detailed history of the war on plaques.
Take the gentle stroll down the walkway and think about all those who served in this dreadful war.

Found out about this place from the local information centre. Showcases local wines and produce such as chocolate, dried fruits, olives, cheeses, meats, oils to name a few items. Wine tasting available and you can also organise your own platter of local produce. Very helpful and knowledgeable gentlemen who took us through the wine tasting. No pressure to buy and very passionate about the local wines etc which I might say were lovely especially one of the reds which resulted in some bottles purchased.

The park is fabulous for kids, lots of equipment to keep them entertained. The BBQ areas are wonderful and the other facilities such as bathrooms and parking is great too. The park has heaps of open areas for ball games or a picnic.
