Quality, style and class. Good old fashioned traditional friendly service and dining experience without an inflated price tag. For over two decades the restaurant has endeavour to fulfil fine dining expectations of table cloths, candles, cloth serviettes and roses on each table. The wine list is prominently local and the majority of produce is still sourced locally. A concerted effort is made to carter to most dietary needs and tastes with an extensive affordable a la carte menu. The Post Office was built in 1872 and converted to a multi-roomed Fine Art Gallery with a Fully Licensed Restaurant in 1992. Red velvet carpet, crystal chandeliers, 15 foot pressed tin ceiling, arches and pillars all add to the feeling of elegance that is enhanced by art Exhibitions and displays of quality unique craft plus the owner’s antique furniture. Don’t be put off by the grandeur of this historic building. The owner operators have lovingly created a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy the open fire in winter and rose garden and air-conditioning in the warmer months. Hours stated are the minimum trading times, please check direct.
We attended this restaurant on the strength of the TA reviews but it must have been an off-night. The service was friendly but the meal was a great disappointment. Perhaps us dining a little later than everyone else contributed. We had Mains and a Dessert each. The pastry on the Beef Wellington was not brown and flaky but white and doughy, clearly undercooked. The other main meal was an omelette and this was overcooked, hard not fluffy. The affogato was nicely presented but the icecream used was not a particularly pleasant tasting one. The cheesecake was nothing special and looked far better than it tasted. Clearly others have had a good night there but we thought it was over-priced for what we received and would not recommend it.

Great range of food. Not only a really wide range of fish from local to Atlantic Cod. The usual range of chip meals as well. The burgers were excellent. On top of that, some very good Greek offerings.
Price wise, brilliant.
Service with a smile and a laugh. (Shame I never got her name and number....)
Seriously. Great place to eat in or take away. Local nature park is just down the road, by the river. Just a suggestion!
Dont miss this one.

We visited the Brewer’s Table for breakfast both mornings of our weekend stay in Seymour & loved how it stared our dats off in such a positive, relaxed way. Both times we sat out on the back deck & enjoyed delicious brekky food & fantastic coffee. The staff are what make this place unbeatable. Everyone we came across was friendly, efficient, professional & full of great advice on local attractions. Fantastic little spot! We visit Seymour several times a year & will definitely be back.

We were very impressed with this little place. The staff were very accommodating and the food delicious; all for a very reasonable price. The tasting platter was amazing! Just be careful not to over order because you can't possibly finish it all. Highly recommended!

We ate dinner here on a busy Saturday as a family with teenage children. The staff were friendly & the food was sensational. We loved the atmosphere sitting outside under the arbour on a balmy spring evening. We visit Seymour several times a year & will definitely be back.

Menu was varied with a daily specials board, busy Sunday at lunch time.
The air conditioning in the dining area was very cold, to the point of being uncomfortable.
Staff were friendly and accommodating The purpose for the visit was a family catchup from different parts of Victoria and NSW.

Having driven down the Hume Hwy overnight I needed a coffee & pie infusion at 6:30am and 1C ! Pulled off the Hwy & entered Seymour and found this pleasant family run bakery. Nothing fancy, well priced, hot coffee and I picked the days special , Spaghetti Bog Pie with a savoury roll to follow. Hit the spot and got me back on the road to dreary city ! Impressed enough to drop in on the way back for brunch !!
