Today it is the longest in Europe linden alley. Its length is about 2.2 kilometres.
I was a bit worried about this location because I am allergic to pollen, especially when it comes to linden trees. Luckily, I was not bothered at all by by allergies and could enjoy a lovely walk outside among the trees. It is a very pleasant place - there are benches, you can look at the river and enjoy the nature and also all is very close to the city center. This is a great place that deserves to be better known.

This museum is a small village that consists of authentic houses from different areas of the Carpathian region. Besides there is a 18th century wooden church built without a single nail, a school and a mill. All the dwellings are so different, rich and poor, from Mountains and from Valleys. The diversity is striking.
My kids were excited, they were running around trying to visit every single house, to examine all the utensils. In every house there is a caretaker able to show and to explain, to answer all the questions. Our guide was great. She asked thought-provoking questions, attracted our attention to the tiniest details.
The area is clean and well maintained. But what a pity some houses were closed and we had to peep through the windows to get the idea of what was inside.
Also we were struck by the fact that the museum was built on the spot of an old Greek Catholic cemetery. But still it is always wonderful to travel across the epochs, both sad and happy ones. After this visit we felt like time travel experts. It's a great place to see.

It's a beautiful small street with small business, like barber shop, tailors, pastry and confectionery and so on.

Situated at midway between the city center and Uzhhorod Castle, Cross Exaltation Cathedral is impressive for this part of Ukraine, but doesn't attract too much with external appearence. Inside is nice, but when we arrived, it was a church service and we couldn't admire in detail.

This mini-sculpture is situated at the end of Pedestrian Bridge, on your left as you come from the center. Uzhhorod is full of all sorts of such mini-sculptures, each more interesting. This has a special charm beacause it looks like a copy of Statue of Liberty from New York, an amercan icon in ex-soviet country.
