Surprisingly (except to Poles) pronounced VRAHTS-wahv, Wroclaw is Poland’s fourth-largest city and the capital of the Viovodship of Lower Silesia. Originally (in medieval times) built across several islands, the city still has many lovely bridges and beautiful architecture. Not far from the German border in the country’s southeast, Wroclaw gets lots of German tourists, who call it Breslau. The Rynek (central square), lined by colorful buildings, is one of the city’s most popular destinations.

From 2017 Jadka is a place where chef Justyna Slupska-Kartaczowska serves exquisite Old-Polish cuisine of the nobility. The starting point in the creation process are the traditional techniques of food processing and products used in the old days. They can be only top quality and come from traditional producers from natural farms from all over Poland. Justyna interprets Old-Polish inspirations in her own way, thanks to what you will find elegance and French chic. In the center of Jadka’s menu is meat. When you visit the restaurant you should definitely try beef tongue, smoked carp or pierogi (dumplings) with mutton. Old-Polish cuisine requires special composition of alcohol menu. Therefore, we offer a choice of craft products: beer from Wroclaw brewery as well as Polish cider and wines. Our highlight is the wines from Central and Eastern Europe – they are created in traditional ways, follow traditional recipes and are produced in a few thousand bottles maximum. Had a business dinner in this restaurant with 8 people, fabulous building and atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and knowledgable about dishes. Food was superb, really surprising as menu look basic. Prices reasonable for quality of food. Only negative is the service was so so slow, 3 hrs for 2 courses. So that is only reason this was not getting a 5star review - but would still recommend as one of the beat food experience in Wroclaw

The restaurant is a Japanese style restaurant, with Sushi as their speciality. My fish was deliciously seasoned. The leak parts with all the herbs inside made the fish so tasty. Our waiter was very friendly and kindly answered all our questions (like 'at what time polish people drink their famous vodka' ;) ), but sometimes the discription of the meals wasn't very clear. The only disadvantage was the Terrace of the restaurant in the same building. On this Terrace there were more loud groups drinking something and smoking.

La Maddalena restaurant is a place created for the love of food and travel. The name of the restaurant is in a way symbolic. The beautiful La Maddalena archipelago lies on the Mediterranean Sea and is situated between Italian Sardinia and French Corsica. La Maddalena is the place which combines the flavours of both nations, after all, well-known for its excellent cuisine and long hours of feasting. Everyday in the Restaurant we also try to be faithful to both of these passions.
Horrible behavior. It was my girlfriend's birthday. I booked a table and I said that we will come at 9. The girl at the phone says "okay but we close at 10". I agree that in one hour we will enjoy a meal but when we arrived the man at the door refuses to let us enter saying that the kitchen is already closed. When I asked some explanations, he replied that his girlfriend said that they will close at 10 but their kitchen will close at 9. She didn't mention this at the phone, and why we would have booked a table at 9 if we couldn't eat? To watch their walls? Not even one "sorry" from the owner, we just had to go to another place. What a shame. If you claim to be "close to Michelin star", well, it's not just about your food (that we couldn't try, and be sure I won't step anymore in your "restaurant") but obviously if you do this as a business and not as a hobby, you should learn to treat people with respect. I hope the same will happen to you and your girlfriend, so maybe you will learn how we were treated tonight. A horrible experience, really. For me, this place deserves less than one star, honestly one of the worst places I ever step in.

A we were 5 for a late lunch. Food was wonderful. Had 3 pastas, one salad, one baby octopus. Everything was delicious, portions were reasonable (not too big) to make it comfortable. Had excellent coffee (the real test for an Italian reastaurant ;) ), tiramisu and coconut ice cream for desert - lovely. With beverages (no wine), we paid 230 + 20 tip. Not a cheapie, but very reasonable for such an excellent meal.
If you "only" have pasta, prices are 16 - 25 (lasagna) zl.- Very affordable.
Service was so attentive and sweet, we wanted to ask the waitress to join us...
As for the place, it is so unbelievable, it somehow adds to the charm.
Hidden in the middle of tenement buildings block, far away from the center, in a somewhat shabby neighbourhood, we nearly gave up on it because it seemed so unlikely for it to be where the GPS directed us... But it's there, and it's excellent!

This was the first establishment we visited during a weekend break to Wroclaw and it was definitely the best. Situated just off the Market Square, Pzedwojenna is a very traditional Eastern European bar. There's no menu just pictures of food & drink at the bar all of which are fixed price. We had a beer & sausages for just 12 Zloty! The locals seemed to be enjoying the steak tartare served with a raw egg. An absolute gem of a bar.

A small place with a big heart. Master wheat and whole wheat thin crust, for which the recipe is world champion Luciano Passeri. Perfect pizza chef, in front of customers spin the pizza. Little Italy welcomes you!
Really a takeaway with half a dozen tables it would be a mistake to dismiss the Margherita. Clean and welcoming surroundings, the pizzas are excellent made freshly by the cheerful lads. The ingredients are visible and authentic. The fridge contains soft drinks that are as keenly priced as the pizzas. Should you want a beer with your pizza the lads are happy to give you a plastic cup to drink the beer you brought from the supermarket across the street.
My pizza diavola and beer cost just 24zl, £5.25 .

"Konspira" is an excellent restaurant with a simple menu, great coffee and true taste. Konspira Restaurant is also a living museum of underground fighting with communism.
Had lunch here. Soup was tasty and presented in a bread bowl. Staff were friendly...would probably have had something else but menu was difficult to navigate, giving more information that ways of splitting up set menu parts! That being said it is certainly worth a visit

We were visiting Wroclaw in December for our son's wedding. There were limited options for December 23. Our large party (mostly Americans) were treated like royalty. All of the food was excellent and the selection of wines was amazing. The owner recommended we try a tray of their desserts to share -- it was a perfect way to end evening.

This was on my list of visits and it didn't disappoint.
We visited a few times during our midweek break and sampled all 16 on the list. The final time I visited one of the bar staff was unpacking a box which contained Can beers from Cloudwater Brewery Manchester.
Prices were average for beer in Wroclaw but much more cheaper than here in the UK.
I thought the bar staff were knowledgeable about the beers they were serving. They even offered tasters which many don't. I personally like Sour Beers and two really good ones were on at the time. They even had two angrams but no cask was currently on.
Food was also served but we didn't try anything there.

Fantastic experience at Stol. Basically, you express your wishes of what would you like to eat, and chef with his team creates the menu for you, cooked right in front your eyes. Wonderful and entertaining, loved the dedication to food quality and high standards. Reservation is absolutely necessary as it is a really small place.
