Lovely stretch of beach where we would stroll to walk off our evening dinner.Just to note it does get quite chilly of an evening in early October
I was ok but my wife needed a shawl. The area was pretty quiet as we believe it closes in another few days for the winter.I can imagine it’s buzzing in summer and plan to return very soon

Just a bit outside of the Makarska city you can find your way up to the beautiful Biokovo! We enjoyed a ride, nature, view and also staff working there! They are so friendly and helpful! Also, when is hot, this is a great way of cooling down,at least a bit:).

Day trip with this group was not nice experience. Staff was not friendly att all..no friefing about diving and when i ask help with equipments they were, wery rude. Staff dont take any contact, dont go there alone, take own buddy with you. It was long, alone day. Only helping people was other divers. I cancel my other day trip. I didin't feel safe and staff was so big dissopointment. I hope place owner do something about his staff. You lose paying customer, because they dont want to come back. I wait so much diving in Croatia..beautiful, clear water.

23km of single-track precipice-edged road make for a hairy drive; and is definitelty not for the faint-hearted. Follow the blue Jure cycle signs to the James Bond-esque radio tower at the 1762m top. Best sunrise views mean entering park at c.530am (end August) but well worth it. Bring a sweatshirt as chilly at that time of the morning. Take your time to explore the walks too however, as the park is full of meadows of beautiful-smelling pines, blue thistles and alpine flowers and grasses.

This is a proper town; there are hotels but they don't dominate. local people are doing local things. We were here nn October and I expect it could be different and very busy in high season, so choose your time to come.

It's not my first time (I'm coming back there often) to be here, but this year it was specially crowded and it was very hard to get to the water. Once you are there, you are good. Water is mostly clean and beach officially has couple of blue flags but couple of times a day water becomes quickly very dirty and I didn't manage to figure out where the dirt comes from.
Another interesting thing (was there last before this visit in August 2013) is that it's very hard, if impossible, to find somebody that's accepting any type of cards for payment. If you don't have cash with you you are most likely not going to buy anything, from paying restaurants bills to buying souvenirs. That's odd, as last year cards were widely accepted. However, you can change money on at least two places, but rates are not very good (1 Euro was 7.30/35/40 Kuna) and on ATM (found only one in this area) it's even worse - 7.09. So would be ideal if you can bring Croatian value with you.
In general - nice sea and very nice beach with lot of natural shadow.

Can be seen from most parts of this little town, nice up close and worth a photograph or two from both near and far, Did not venture in as was closed but lovely and clean and well maintained. Lovely backdrop with the mountain/hill behind it.
