My first visit to the temp[le was in 2005 when I had come to Tiruppur and after that I have been to this divine place number of times and have always felt the power of Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati. The satisfaction and serenity which one seeks when going to a temple is here and I would request my fellow travellers to please make it a must on your list. Sometime you can actually feel the presence of Lord Shiva and Ma Paravti blessing you. If you are going there for Morning Milk abhishekam, which is a experience by itself, try a small eatery 1 kms. before the temple, it is on left hand side near small ganesha temple, which opens at 7.30 AM and closes by 8.30 AM, dont go on the looks off it, I can only assure you the WORLDS BEST south Indian breakfast you can ever have in your life.

Good place to hangout around the Reservoir area and gushing water in the falls adds to the beauty. Avoid going on long weekends or festival days as it could be more crowded by the locals as a getaway point.

The crocodile farm is located close to the Amaravathi dam, around 25 kms from the udumelpet town. The farm has a huge collection of crocodiles but not well maintained. The place is totally not tourist friendly and lacks even basic facilities for the tourists.

This is 22 km from Udamalpet, Dindigul Cochin highway at the base of western ghat hill. The falls about 700m from the temple like a little courtallam relaxation is quiet natural. Get blessing from lord Shiva, have a boat ride. This will be a three in one trip.

This temple is one of the 7 Padal Petra Sthallam in the Kongu area of Tamilnadu. It is relatively not so famous place except for people who are specially going there. However locally it is very important place. This temple is very close to the famous Avinashi temple, just probably around 5 to 6 kms. One has to take a small detour from the Chennai-Coimbatore highway near Avinashi and reach the place. Google maps provides accurate direction. The distinct part is the different architecture of the temple. It resembles a lot of the pallava architecture. The temple is well maintained. There is a large parking area in front of the temple. Before we enter the temple there is a large statue of Ganapathi. Just before the temple entrance there is a corridor like hall way and to the right side is the temple tank. This place has said to be graced and sung by the great saint Sundarar. The Lord himself had set him up to visit the temple when he was robbed of valuables when he was traveling near the temple. The Lord is said to have been so fascinated with his Tamil compositions that he wanted to hear them. The locals celebrate the temple as their own and engage in a lot of temple. activities. This is also a parihara sthalam.

This is quite old temple where the culture in this temple is different than any others in these days . Maintenance of temple is good and you can visit this temple on special days of Hanuman and who can afford to bare the crowd . Else visit in normal Saturdays. Temple is 2 km away from main bus stand (Dharapuram)
