The worlds only sundecker cable high above the city of Lucerne/Switzerland takes you to the most magnificent scenery of the snow caped alpine chain (Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau etc.) and 10 Swiss Lakes and a view into Germany (Black Forest) and France (Vosgues Mountains).Enjoy a meal at the revolving mountain top restaurant.CabriO opened in 2012 als the only sun decker cable car in the world.
We went on the very new mountain gondola up from the pretty little town of Stans. Was quite exhilarating, with a very large 2 storey cable car holding up to 90 people. The ride up was amazing with wonderful views. Unfortunately it was foggy at the top so the views were nonexistent, but we enjoyed the excellent facilities at the top and had lunch there. The return trip down was great once we got below the fog. This is Swiss engineering at its best, and I'm sure the views from the top would have been very beautiful. As on all Swiss Mountains make sure you take a coat as it can be 10 degrees cooler at the top

The Glasi Hergiswil is the only remaining glasswork in Switzerland where glass is still blown and shaped by hand. Visit our glass-world experience in Hergiswil: museums, Exhibitions, onsite stores, and watching the glassblowers at their profession. The Glasi is the perfect destination for families and glass enthusiasts alike. The products of Glasi Hergiswil are available at selected retailers, directly at the Glasi Hergiswil, or in the Glasi-WebShop. We also offer custom designs according to individual needs.
We absolutely loved our visit to Glasi Hergiswil. While we know the area very well, we had never visited the factory or done the tour. We were impressed with the organized, informative visit which can be fun for the whole family.
Tours are self-guided or in groups; you sign up for a tour in your preferred language and then move through each of the rooms as an audio explanation explains the history of the factory and glass making in Switzerland. Displays and dioramas are detailed: the tour ends with a birds-eye view overlooking the glass blowing room where visitors can watch the glass blowers shaping, blowing, and putting glass into the massive ovens. Super interesting to see!
The building next store contains various interactive exhibits, looking at the science and history behind glass construction and glass shaping/contours.
Make a stop here on the Lake Lucerne - a lovely little outing for young and old!

The mighty mountain, overlooking the city of Lucerne is a must visit beautiful place. The cogwheel, to reach the mountain is one of the oldest man made marvel. During the journey via the cog wheel, one can experience lots of scenic beauty, panoramic views, and tiny water Springs. The thrill of experiencing this engineering wonder, the cogwheel is beyond words. Advisable to do a bit of research regarding the ticket booking or how to reach, as it also depends on the place where one is staying. However, one personal tip is that if you are planning to visit Titlis too, do this trip prior to Pilatus, you would be able to enjoy the cogwheel and Pilatus more! Your Swiss trip is incomplete without a visit to Pilatus.

Everyone had a great time and we are definitely repeating next spring. The team was very friendly and fun to flight with. We were a little nervous at the beginning but once we were on the air we forgot and just enjoyed this amazing experience.

All walkers from Stansstad to Kehristen notice the fake rock, but visiting the fortress is actually very interesting to understand the strategy behind the "reduit", what this particular fortress was meant to defend, the various invasion paths it defends. Guides available on location and the film provide very useful context too. Ideal for a rainy day.

Take the bus up to "Obbürgen, Abzw. Trogen" and walk the rest of the way, first into the tiny town with the hotels, and then follow the cliff path to the lift. This part is stroller accessible, at least to the lift. It has some of the best views of Luzern and Pilatus.
The lift ride is short, and not as exciting as I'd hoped it would be.
But at the top...wow! The views of Lake Luzern and also the valley and Mountains on the other side are phenomenal!
The cafe serves very standard Swiss fare - sausages, fries, etc.
Walk to the far end of the uppermost section. It will take you 5 minutes but you'll be rewarded with more views in a different direction.
Finally, take the hiking path opposite the lift and enjoy a nice downhill stroll back to the bus stop.

Welcome to SkyGlide in Lucerne, the adventure capital of Central Switzerland.Man's dream to fly can come true! Book a tandem-paragliding flight at Paragliding Lake Lucerne GmbH.
It was my first paragliding flight and I simply loved it...everything was perfect. Dani was the pilot and he really did a great job: extremely professional, confident and friendly. I enjoyed every single moment, take off and landing extremely and unexpacted easy. The location was amazing with a breathetaking view on the lake and the Mountains. A unique way to enjoy this wonderful piece of Switzerland.
I am sure I will do it again soon. Thanks Dani!!!

Weggis is quite small but the walk along the prom makes a pleasant stroll. There are a couple of cafes where you can stop for a break.

We enjoyed a nice experience with the Group. Very relaxed and professional atmosphere. I would like to repeat this once again. You get very good equipement for the Price. The tour guide was very experienced and took his time for questions on the way.
