Me and my boyfriend sometimes go round the chase to walk the dogs. It's a lovely scenic view and brilliant to let your dogs off the lead and have fun! In the winter can be very muddy. Definitely should wear sensible footwear.

The farm is a caravan park. It has a lovely tea room. There are small animals along with sheep horses hens etching. On site there is a owl sanctity. There is a small charge to see the owls. Every thing else is free. Have a light meal or a cake and cup of tea. It is reasonably priced. Great for small children if you have an hour to pass.

We are the largest operator of hot air balloon rides in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.Established for more than 20 years, this thriving family business carries almost 6000 passengers each year in its fleet of hot air balloons.
I have seen hot air balloons floating over Derbyshire on many occasions and always fancied having a go myself. Eventually made the decision and booked with Wickers World
The first four flights I booked were cancelled due to the weather being too windy which was disappointing. But this is clearly better than flying in unsafe conditions and it is reassuring that Wickers World put safety before profit.
Successful flight at the fifth attempt, taking off last Friday morning from Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire shortly after sunrise on a cold, calm, frosty morning.
Fantastic flight, clear blue skies, Jon the pilot gave an excellent commentary about what we could see and the logistics of flying the balloon. Sometimes flying high and sometimes low to catch different air currents that took us in slightly different directions. Very smooth landing.
The whole flight was videoed from a camera suspended from the balloon and downloaded onto a memory stick so that you can play-back the flight on your computer whenever you like.
This was going to be a once in a lifetime flight for me. But having enjoyed it so much I've decided I will treat myself to a second flight from a different location sometime next year.
If you are thinking of booking a balloon flight then go for it. If you are unlucky with the weather you might experience a few cancellations before you get your flight. But when you do get to fly you won't regret it!
I've no idea what other balloon companies are like. But I highly recommend 'Wickers World'

There were adults and teenagers there, but were very respectful for my younger children who wanted to play! Certainly would...MoreThanks for the awesome review Ellie! Driving past the Commonwealth Graves Commission site you come to the German Military Cemetery. Open from 10 o'clock it is a peaceful and thought provoking part of Cannock Chase. We strolled around the beautifully kept grounds and rested for a while on one of its many benches. The most poignant place for me were the four caskets containing the remains of the crew of zeppelins shot down during World War I.

Great experience. The training was excellent before we were let loose. Richard the guide made it fun and paced the session well for all levels and stopped when instruction was required or to let the slower ones catch up. It went too fast and would have loved another 30 minutes!!

My 8 week old son and myself visited today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I was in such shock to see the brilliant work they do all at the side of the garden centre! This was also lovely to walk around. The animals we're lovely and so close to you. There was information about all the animals that I was able to read to my baby. We cannot wait to go again!

I was off to a meeting at Staffordshire Place and had travelled by train. The park is over the road from the railway station and - even oil a damp January morning - it makes for a lovely pleasant walk to work. Beautifully kept and maintained.

Situated in the heart of Stafford, the High House is a museum not only telling its own history and that of Stafford, particularly during the English Civil War. There are also rooms devoted to the art of puppeteering; the top floor is given over to history and artefacts of the Staffordshire Yeomanry. A very charming and interesting building with something for everyone and of any age.
