The ski resort Alpendorf, Ski amade, is located in the heart of Austria and is directly connected to the ski resorts Wagrain and Flachau. It is part of Austrias largest ski alliance called "Ski amade" and offers a wide range on slopes and lifts in best quality. Ideal for beginners and medium skiers, but also advanced skiers will find a range of slopes at their disposal.
Although the ski terrain is lovely, the people (especially the ticket people ) are very rude unless you are either German or Austrian. They allow these people to push through and don't organise the queues. They are more interested in maximising the money they make rather than the long term. Stay well away if you are foreign.

We were here with two kids (6,8) and they loved (!!!) it.
Just before the cable car ride the kids get to see Wagrini (with some candies). The ride itself is very nice and you can start seeing the beautiful views of the surrounding Mountains.
Once you arrive there's a big playground, right in front of you, with a big trampoline, a small lake with rafts, bridge and rocks to cross it.
From this point, there's a nice trail with great views for us and numerous special Playgrounds that mesmerize the kids, they can hang there forever...
We loved it and we've spent there about half a day.

when preparing this trip I find most valuable information on the official website www.koenigstour.at and also on the Ski Amadé website and choosing Hochkönig as area for skiing. The entire 32 km tour is not for beginners but we started with skiing in the Mühlbach area which has black, red and blue slopes with the highest peak at 1822m over sea level. The free of charge buses also take us to Arthurhaus nearby which also had very nice slopes. You can start Königstour from either Mühlbach, Dienten, Hinterthal, Hintermoos or Maria Alm which gives the freedom of choice where to find an apartment or hotel. The entire length of slopes is 150km related to these villages. Königtour itself is a tour between all these villages and during this tour you dont ski the same slope twice. The highest point on this tour is 1900m over sea level. We usually start skiing after 10.00 each morning in mid-March but it would be better at 08.00 as the airtemperature raises very soon from -1 to +6 celcius in morning. The sun is very intensive and the snow gets soon wet which can require better physical conditions from the attendees. The tour itself can take half day and even longer by resting along the tour at restaurants who offer great scenic views, service and food. We enjoy this trip very much in will come back with entire family.

Skigebiet Grossarltal-Dorfgastein offer great skiing possibilities with mostly red slopes, however there are plenty of Blue decents too. Not many Black slopes. Lift capacity is perfect , never had to wait for more then 3 minutes. Excellent restaurants and bars on the slopes

Oldest church in Bischofshofen stands near the Rathaus – Town hall. You can recognize it because of a square tower. It is less interesting outside. When you enter, you can see very good presentation of combination of Romanesque, Gothic and later architecture, some fine altars with old sculptures, paintings on the northern wall and a Renaissance tombstone of a bishop from Chiemsee.

I was visiting relatives and have spent a couple of days at this hotel.
The room was absolutely spottles, never seen such a clean hotel room in any of my travels. One morning I met with the lady (Susy) and she is also very friendly and kind.
Breakfast is plenty, was beautifully layed everything, very delicious and the young gentleman was very proffessional and funny.
This little town is amazing if you want to escape from big cities. People are friendly and helpful. You are surrounded by Mountains perfect for hiking where you reach Alms (tiny place with one or two tables where you can rest, have a snack and/or drink and enjoy the amazing view).
There is a lake as well, you can swim during summer time, also an old castle which is a museum today.
Thank you for your hospitality, Im sure I'll be back soon.

Due to a rockfall, the gorge Liechtensteinklamm is closed for the entire season 2017. We apologize for any inconveniences! The gorge Liechtensteinklamm, one of the longest and deepest white water gorges in the Alps, is an outing destination for the whole family, located only 30 min away from the City of Salzburg. This natural phenomenon in the heart of Salzburg is well worth the visit the whole summer.
We visited here today, it was absolutely lovely. It has been raining recently, the water was rushing down the gorge. I do not know if this is more than usual but it was incredibly powerful. I used the word "wow" more than once! I enjoyed the walk up and back, sturdy footwear is recommended as the wooden platforms can be a little slippy.
Take your time and enjoy the views, you won't see this every day.

We have had our youngest (Alexander, 8 years) in ski school for 5 whole days with Helene. She’s fantastic!! “The best ski school teacher ever” said my son. My oldest (Christoffer, 11 years) has had privet lessons by Nicolai Riis. He was a great teacher for young boys. I myself have had privet lessons by Laura. Super sweet and very good teacher. We will for sure use your school again! See you next year!

Church has nice position in the middle of the village, under the cemetery. It has biggest church tower in the place and it is not hard to find it.The upper part of the tower is leaning a little and is also turned round on the top. You can look at fine vaults, some nice altars inside and some old tombstones outside. Main problem is to find the church open during the day.
