Highly recommend it. Bring wellies/rain boots if you have them. They will provide them but it's hard to get your size and sometimes they are wet -ugh!!
But, what a fantastic day from start to finish. The owners are lovely and great with children. Lots of hands on interaction with animals from feeding pigs, milking a cow, collecting eggs to finally learning how milk is separated from the cream, which we turned into butter. The kids baked scones with the eggs they collected and while the scones were in the oven we were bought to make candles. After that we returned to the kitchen to a lovely table set with our freshly baked scones, our home made butter and jam, served with tea & coffee.
Everything is very well done and great for kids to learn that our food doesn't just come from a carton at the store. Great life experience for all kids, city kids especially.

Private Sightseeing Tours
This summer, Ester and Gerrit of Kerry Experience Tours arranged for me to have a lovely and magical journey of a lifetime through the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring. Wonderfully caring, Ester took incredibly kind care of me, from the moment I stepped off the bus in Killarney until the last moment of my time in the Ring of Kerry. Throughout that day, Ester shared her deep - and deeply infectious - love of Ireland with me. With her as my wonderful guide, I climbed through the romantic ruins of a castle - after a local shepherd had placed his own lamb into my arms (!) as we were about to enter the castle grounds. We bought freshly-woven St. Brigid's crosses at a roadside stand; explored an ancient ring fort; scrambled over scenic rock-covered Beaches on the Wild Atlantic Way; shared a delicious picnic lunch while looking down at dramatic cliffs which plunged into crashing waves at the edge of the gorgeous blue sea; rode through quaint villages; and - on our way back - paused to gaze out, in farewell, at the beautiful "Ladies' View", where Queen Victoria and her ladies-in-waiting were said to have enjoyed the dramatic view in 1861. I fell in love with Ireland that day, and continue to look back very fondly on all of our adventures that day. But most endearing of all was the magnanimous Ester herself, who was lovely in every way: both a consummate guide and a delightful companion. It was truly a magical day for me, for which I will always be grateful to Ester, and to Gerrit and Kerry Experience Tours for making it possible. I would highly recommend Kerry Experience Tours to anyone who is ready for a magical adventure in Ireland, in unparalleled company.

Lovely trip out to an island in a Kayak. Seals all around lots of wildlife to observe and on a clear day the water glows a gorgeous Mediterranean blue!
Noel, the man that runs the trips is very friendly and helpful with loads of advice on things to do in the surrounding area! Lovely activity for a sunny day!

We stopped here with every intention of visiting the house but it was a beautiful sunny day and we decided to take a walk on the beach. It was almost deserted and you could walk for hours on the beach and smooth rocks. The view over the Atlantic was remarkable and a long walk to the old ruins and cemetery was well worth it. Ended the walk with a cup of tea at the cafe.

Went in here at about 9 on a Thursday night - place was quite full and a great atmosphere was there too.
Great choice of drinks. Guinness there is excellent!
Prices are very reasonable and staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Plenty of room no matter what size group you're in.
Also plenty of TV's if you want to watch a match.
We joined in a local quiz - great craic on the night and, even though we weren't local, we were made feel local and so welcome.
Very enjoyable night.
Would definitely return!

We discovered this after stopping at Sneem for lunch. We could see the rapids and part of this little park from the restaurant, so went to check it out after eating. We crossed the bridge and walked down towards the church. Next to the church is a way through to the area that has been developed with stone pyramids and other structures. It is lovely to walk through and you can carry on down to the river and look back up at the bridge over the rapids and the town above. This is a lovely way to spend a few minutes when visting Sneem.

If you see the sign to Brushwood Studios and follow the road, don't give up as its a good way from the main road, we stopped in on a rainy day and spent an hour with Etienne looking at some wonderful art with great explanation's to go with the viewing, then the hand built kayaks a must for anyone with a feeling for wood, time well spent for both art and boat lovers.

Ancient beliefs by inhabitants of South Kerry claim that the hole - passage in the bull rock was a passageway to the other world, Superstition claiming seafarers who were known to have passed through this passage had fallen over the horizon - The edge of the world ..True or not it is a great experience to visit the bull rock, I departed from Beal Tra ,in Derrynane harbour, like the small Skellig it is a Ganet Colony with thousands of bords nesting there , Simply a wonderfull site. There were also many seals sun bathing on the rocks.

Charles de Gaulle visited Sneem several times, most notably after he resigned the French presidency in 1969, and had high praise for the restful character and friendly nature of the town. This simple memorial, created by sculptor Alan Hall, consists of a plaque and a small bas relief sculpture mounted on a boulder situated next to a traffic sign-bedecked intersection at the edge of Sneem’s North Square. If you are taking a stroll along Sneem’s picturesque main street, which is a very enjoyable thing to do on a nice day, it’s easy to incorporate a photo op stop of a few minutes duration.
