Forget fashionable footwear, only your most comfortable shoes will cut it in Killarney. It's a walking town, and every trail is a history lesson. Journey on foot through Ireland's first national park, 26,000 acres of woodlands, sandstone mountains and low-lying lakes. When your feet wear out, take in Killarney National Park via boat from Ross Castle. And because there are more hotel beds in Killarney than in any other Irish town or city (besides Dublin), you'll always have a place to rest your head (and feet).

Service was great, food was good. Its a convenient spot right in town and just outside the park. They also have a coffee bar which was pretty good as well as some pastries that looked yummy although we did not partake :)

Set above Bricín Shop, Bricín Restaurant and Boxty House is a well known name on the lips of many people. Opened in November 1991, its popularity is down to the fine food produced by Owner/Chef Paddy McGuire and by the warmth of welcome and hospitality shown front of house by Owner Johnny McGuire. Between them they have an exceptional product that has been 21 years plus in the making.
Visited here while celebrating our wedding anniversary. Fabulous little find. The scallops I had were as good as any you'd get anywhere in the world, fresh and delicious. The mussels were also super tasty and absolutely huge! My husband had the boxty and again, highly recommend. The chocolate brownie for dessert was simply decadent. The staff really made our visit though - Johnny was super generous with his time, giving us ideas for things to do the next day around Killarney and recommending some lovely drives and hikes, which we had the pleasure of experiencing the next day. A pleasure to visit here.

The stylish Cellar One Restaurant is at the heart of The Ross with truly individual design features. Leading from the Pink Lounge down the elegant stairs into Cellar One Restaurant is impressive, and from here on your evening will continue in this same vein. Chef Ian McMonagle has beautifully combined local produce with international influences which will fall nothing short of offering gastric delight. As well as great creative flair there is a clear understanding of food & flavours evident all the way through this menu. From the Cromane Mussels steamed in coconut milk with lime and ginger to the Roast Peppered Breast of Skeghanore Duck served with braised red cabbage, baked apple, honey & orange sauce the creative flair and clear understanding of food is evident all the way through this menu.
We had a family function there last weekend for lunch . The variety in the Menu for was really superb and well varied . I ordered prawns starter and unusually for me Pork belly . Both were tastefully presented by really kind and caring Staff and the sea fresh taste from the prawns was excellent and I would order the Pork belly again.
This restaurant is in the Ross hotel , smack bang in the middle of town .
Prices reflected the great value in this Cellar one restaurant,,definitely when in Killarney pop in-and be impressed

I’ve visited Rozzers a few times now and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed and the staff are so polite, friendly and attentive. I would recommend anyone to go there for a truly spectacular dinning experience. Definitely the best meal I’ve ever had

What a great restaurant! It is tucked away down a side street off the Main Street of Killarney, and a bit hard to find, but well worth looking for. The décor is eclectic, to say the least, but charming none the less. We did not have a reservation, but they could not have been more accommodating. The Chef even showed us around when we commented on the décor. But the real test of a restaurant is the food, and it was perfection. Everything we had was outstanding, and we found the price for quality served excellent. Skip the big tourist restaurants and find this gem.

History of Cronin’s RestaurantIn 1957 Johnny and Noreen Cronin opened a small lodging house down Clover Lane. Noreen who worked as a cook for a brief period in London decided to use her talents in the kitchen serving lunches for local factory worker. At the time it was quite a small operation with Noreen and Johnny doing the cooking the serving and the wash up . As time went by the Cronin family Grew and Sisters Joan, Katherine, Helen, Norma along with their brother Pat all began to work in the lodging house. In 1977 after realising the popularity of there lunches Johnny and Noreen took the decision to buy a small thatched cottage on College street and turn it into Cronins Restaurant. In 1996 Johnny and Noreen’s son Pat took over the business full time to ensure the family tradition continued. Today much has changed has changed in the Cronins but much of the ideals which Johnny and Norreen had when they first opened in 1957 remain the same , good quality food in a friendly family atmosphere, and with their children and grandchildren still working in the restaurant these ideals shall remain the same.
The atmosphere is great, small restaurant on one of the Main Streets so it’s very convenient to a lot of the city center hotels. We ordered two appetizers one smoked salmon and one prawn salad. Both delicious. Then we had the veggie curry. Amazing. Loved that it came with chips too. Nothing better than curry and chips! Not overwhelming just nice and light with great flavor. Then came the sticky toffee. Pudding! Excellent. A bit cakier than usual ones I’ve had. (I do what I call a sticky toffee pudding tour). J/k. But awesome anyway. 4.5 out of 5 for the STP!
I would say this is one of the best if not the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in Ireland ! Not any more expensive than the pubs that have average pub food. This is good, clean, well cooked food. Totally recommend it to anyone!

Brilliant place, lovely food and very friendly staff! We had the tiger prawns and the cheese croquettes for starter then tacos and a burrito for mains, really nice food and fast service, would definitely recommend this place for anyone who loves Mexican food.

Danú at The Brehon have a team of award-winning international chefs who are lead by our Head Chef Chad Byrne. Chad’s philosophy on food is to use fresh Irish produce served with a modern flair keeping ingredients simple yet elegant. Our team of international award winning chefs have created a menu of classical dishes with ethnic influences while still mindful of our tradition of keeping wholesome rustic cooking to the forefront.
The very best of ingredients and local produce give you an amazing dining experience at the Danú.
A very varied menu for all tastes, including a very comprehensive vegetarian menu, and they are so flexible if you want anything tweaked from it. We had the food as it came because the flavour profile on the menu reads as good as it tastes. The staff are very knowledgable about the items on the menu and their recommendations are spot on.
You can see why this Restaurant was awarded two AA Rosettes and we're a bit surprised it's not a Bib Gourmand they have.
Food needs to be visually stunning, full of colours and stimulating to the eyes and the Danú delivers on this and then backs it up on the pallet. If you follow the Head Chef
@chadpbyrne on Instagram & Twitter you will see the wonderful food he creates.
The decor and ambiance is cosy and you can truly relax here. The staff are a nod away and unobtrusive, but so attentive when needed.
Customers of fine dining expect to pay a premium for a great experience, but yet expect value for money. The Danú has a very competitively priced menu which is brimming with variety & choice and we unreservedly recommend here for a great dining experience.
Photographs included have the menu descriptions on each of them.
