Family owned and operated since 1985, The Old Station has a rich history dating back to the 1930’s. Originally an uptown service station, the restaurant boasts original brickwork and front entrance way. At the center of the dining room you will find a unique focal point, our 155 year old maple tree trunk, which invites customers to an enjoyable Muskoka dining experience. Nestled at the top of the hill in downtown Bracebridge, The Old Station provides customers with a chance to immerse themselves in Muskoka’s distinct history. The Old Station offers a quality dining experience in an atmosphere that is purely Muskoka. Enjoy the warm summer days on our wrap around patio or warm yourself by the fire on a cold winter night. Come on in and let us surround you with great food and great service!
Server was great, friendly and the food is excellent. Six out of our group of eight ordered the prime rib special with a started caeasar salad or french onion soup. We were so full that we had to turn down the offer of a dessert...MoreThank you for your review! You've named three of our very popular items, and we are happy you enjoyed. Don't forget the front and side patio in the summer months. It almost doubles our capacity to enjoy that prime rib dinner! See you again soon.

I was in Bracebridge to attend to a business meeting on Saturday, the night before we attend a dinner at this restaurant and were very please to with the service, and the friendly staff.
My meal was the pork loin which was tasty, hot and a large portion. I couldn't believe the favour I ask the chef at the end of the night how it was cooked and he stated that the pork was smoked and gave it that beautiful favour.
I was impressed as I love the smoke meats.

It was very good food. Very clean and the service was great. I eat there often and I haven’t had a bad meal or poor service. Service is always friendly.

We always seem to be doing lunch on a Monday and miss out on the main st delicatessen.
Having eaten there in the past we decided it would be a fun destination on yet another dreary rainy day up in Muskoka.
Great soups, good beers creative sandwiches and friendly staff were what I came to expect. We arrived at 1:45 ish Sunday afternoon (they close at 3 ) and sat down to look at the soups and specials and I ordered my fav. Sunday lunch drink, Mimosa!
I was rather concerned when she pulled out a 1.5 Grey Fox Chardonnay (2 buck chuck) from the fridge and poured it in a flute and topped it with orange juice. Sorry I must have missed something because by definition :
A Mimosa is a cocktail composed of equal parts champagne and chilled citrus juice, usually orange juice unless otherwise specified.
I questioned the bitter drink asking why it wasn't sparkling.
I was informed they don't sell a lot of these drinks so they no longer stock sparkling wine.Yet, its offered on the permanent menu under their Main St. Caesar...I broke tradition and exchanged the sad drink for a slightly less glamours cocktail.
Sadly my partner was never asked what he would like to drink thus he settled with water.
It was obvious she was more concerned with getting the place cleaned up and prepped to close at 3pm than being customer first,
The meal was average, He had sweet potato fries and a Rubin, I had scrambled eggs(which I original ordered yet she later came back to ask how I would like my eggs, I guess I am glad she didn't just "creatively"substitute them, and I had a rare steak Aka, the Lumberjack. It came out smothered in gravy which i spooned off.The actual piece of meat was nice, pink in the middle tender and juicy so that was a plus.
I think in the end the poor service and the brush off in regards to her pedestrian mixology, never informing me that she was substituting with plunk and minute maid, ignoring my partner and the hurried feeling of her whipping around to clean, move chairs and tables to ensure the door was locked at 3 on the nose.
Yeah, that $50 lunch left me feeling disappointed and not sure I feel the need to find out if it was just a one time let down.

Always enjoyed going to the Griff as their menu was full of yummy not just boring pub food but yummy pizza and different entres .... Now it's just pub food! God knows Muskoka has tons of pubs and what we need is yummy healthy tasty real food!
Well we had a drink n left cause y'a can't drink n drive so we went elsewhere to eat... where there's more choice!
Here's to hoping Bracebridge brings in better food places not just pubs n Breweries! Cause people will have to cook at home more and enjoy drinking at home cheaper all around!
We work hard for our money and good yummy food is getting hard to find for decent pricing in Muskoka! Why is that!!
That's when I miss the city !!!

My husband and I always have a happy tummy and a happy pocket whenever we eat at Wabora. Service is very good and fast and staffs are very friendly. Take note: their salmon sashimi taste really good and the salmon slices are thick and fresh. We will go back there again as always when we go to Bracebridge, Other variety of food are also available. Teppanyaki table are good for any group that wants their food done in front of them with some entertainment. They also have a bar where you could just sit and have some drinks while watching the sports channel. Very much recommended.

We just visited here. I stayed outside with the dog and sent my son and daughter in. I'm always worried how people will treat my teens. But they are well behaved and soft spoken however some people categorize all teens in one group.
Sure enough .... two people working there. The young lady was polite and kind the older lady was disrespectful and outright rude to my son.
We won't be going here for lunch again.

Stopped in only to try pick up a menu.....couldn't leave without a couple of pizzas, sights, smells and vibe was to much to pass on.
We were in town to sit down for Chinese food but decided to drive by what sounds like a great pizza joint for next visit to town.
My wife had the roasted veg pizza I had the nightly special....both were absolutely delishious. Dough was perfect, ingredients were fresh and beautifully presented.
Will be back and would highly recommend.

Just stopped by to satisfy an afternoon butter tart attack ....and this place MADE IT!!!!
One of the best butter tarts I have had....not only a lovely combination of flaky, sweetish crust and a, soft not overly caramel centre....but also topped with a "dome" of caramelized sugar which just added that extra slight crunch!!! WOW!!!

My wife and I had dinner at Nick's. I ordered a medium 10 topping pizza and a small greek salad and my wife ordered the fish and chips dinner. Our waitress was friendly and came around while we waited for our food order to ensure our drinks were fine. Pizza was loaded with toppings and the small salad was huge. My wife was very happy with her fish and chips, two large portions of battered fish, a salad and fries, very big portion. Definitely one of the best places to get a pizza in town!
