Tiny Skiathos is packed with pine forests, archaeological ruins, and—most importantly—beaches. Shed your inhibitions at the nudist Banana Beach or have a more modest sun session at Koukounaries, which is peppered with lively cafes. Sail around on a chartered catamaran, hike to the dramatic medieval ruins of Kastro and tap into your spiritual side at one of Skiathos many monasteries.

Simply the most beautiful beach on and around Skiathos. Long, sandy beach with crystal clear water, umbrellas, sunbeds and one of the best tavernas. Somehow, it reminds me of beautiful Thai Beaches. Boats from the old port leave at 10, 11 and 12 and return at 16, 17 and 18h.

A lovely distraction from the hustle and bustle of the old port Only a 10 minute walk around the island but there are so many places to sit and watch the varying sea views and a grand al-fresco tapas cafe/bar that the walk could take much longer.Well worth the visit

Make sure you visit Lalaria during your stay in Skiathos. Its water is cristal blue and you sure could spend a few hours here. You get here by boat and because of that it has been preserved very well. At times it can be crowded with a lot of boats but I would recommend renting your own small boat going around the island. That way you can stay for as long as you want.

This is a beautiful landmark and truly worth the climb, it was early evening when we visited so very few people about and the oasis of calm was worth it to reflect on lost loveones.

Comments: by own vehicle, 1,5-2 hour walk, red little bus or taxi, this classical monastery is worth visiting. A grand view is also part of it.

If you enjoy historic sites and walking and hiking, then this is the place for you. If you have walking difficulties then avoid! Its a real trek to get to the ruins and then reach the highest point of Kastro but as others have stated, its well worth it. My camera was well used here. The views are truly amazing! Could not believe some people were making the trek in flip-flops. Lunacy!!!!!

Although it's a nice walk through the forest, I don't understand all the fuss over this beach! It was very busy and covered in piles of seaweed. Maybe it was the time of year (end of August) but we left feeling very disappointed after Reading all the good reviews on here it was nothing like what we were expecting.

The Blue House Art Gallery was created having as dream the harmonious coexistence of tradition and modern art.Designing jewellery with a distinct identity that reflects the respect and the sensitivity towards Greek art. The materials that are used are silver and gold which are decorated with precious or semiprecious stones. Vasilis and Areti with designers from all over Greece will be there to offer you harmony and elegance.
My wife and I are regular visitors to Skiathos and whenever possible always try to pick up a trinket or something special from this fabulous shop. Over the years my wife has added to her jewellery collection and I've purchased some beautiful Icons. The service...MoreThank you very much, I always try to give my best, Areti.

We've visited quite a few Beaches during our state in beautiful Skiathos but the Kechria is undoubtedly the best.
Already charmed by its natural bay and the terraced landscape, the water is pristine clear and turquoise, a great pleasure to swim.
The Taverna provides great meals, it's amazing for a place relatively remote.
Ideal for a great, relaxing paradise afternoon.

Access ok. A beach tavern. Narrow stretch of sand. Not the cleanest looking. Worth a look and a stroll along the beach and on the path behind it to the rocky point.
