Seaham, formerly Seaham Harbour, is a small town in County Durham, situated 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Sunderland and 13 miles (21 km) east of Durham. It has a small parish church, St Mary the Virgin, with a late 7th century Anglo Saxon nave resembling the church at Escomb in many respects. St Mary the Virgin is one of the 20 oldest surviving churches in the UK. Seaham is currently twinned with the German town of Gerlingen.

This is a brilliantly thought-out sculpture built to the highest standard. A truely fitting tribute to the fallen servicemen. Positioned in a prime location to enjoy the town. Plenty pleasant walks nearby and refreshment opportunities close for all pockets. Worth visiting the marina area, which is very close.

Voted as the Best Spa in the North East by Good Spa Guide 2016 and Best Spa for Style by The Sunday Times and Best UK Spa Destination by Conde Nast Traveller The Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall is a place where water is used to pamper, indulge and relax you.Inspired by Feng Shui, you will discover a place that is oriental in design, with teak, granite and limestone everywhere amid an atmosphere of complete calm. Choose from over forty different treatments or one of our Day Rituals.
I visited the spa as a group of four, as a present for my birthday. The facilities are amazing and staff around the pool where very attentive. Some of the areas in the pool are in need of some tlc (outdoor hottubs- wood was lifting and coming away). Treatments where a big let down. We where took in for our treatments at 12:03 and I was taken back to the zen lounge at 12:58, I know that time is taken off for consultation but this meant I had less then a fifty minute treatment, the treatment it self wasn't beneficial, after the treatment I did not feel like I had recieved a massage, the massage consisted of mostly efflourage movements. When I arrived back at the zen lounge another member of our group was already back, meaning his treatment must of been even shorter than mine! For the price you pay you expect to walk out feeling relaxed and rejuvenated sadly that was not the case! Each member of the group recieved a different treatment, which I find to be very unprofessional. Very disappointed as we where all looking forward to this spa day. When leaving we weren't asked if we had enjoyed our day, otherwise we would of voiced our concerns.

Well worth a visit. The staff/volunteers are lovely: really friendly and welcoming and really knowledgeable about local history.
It’s a great place to learn about the Durham coast and the history regarding the lifeboat. Thoroughly recommend visiting.
Thanks to all the staff/volunteers for a really lovely morning.

This is just a standard memorial cross and I have seen this many, many times without paying it the slightest bit of attention. Since the addition of the Tommy stature nearby it has made me realise that this cross is really pretty good. The location is amazing , on the green on the cliff tops and it is this which raises it above other similar monuments.

Went here with friends on Saturday night for a few drinks and found it to be a very friendly lively bar. Will definitely visit here again when we return to Seaham.

A return trip and in all honesty wasn't expecting much, but fair play it was in great condition for late October. The course design has made excellent use of the contours and makes for an interesting round. The course isn't over long and will suit all levels.
There was evidence of ongoing investment with the clubhouse having been extended since our last trip and work going on on two greens. (This is much needed on the 8th :-) )
If you want an inexpensive round on an interesting course with some good scoring opportunities get yourself there.

If your looking for a great days golf, this really friendly golf club is the place. The course is in fabulous condition the greens are stunning as well as the views from around the course . I've played several times here and it's always been a superb day out . There's a good bar with a snooker table for 19th hole refreshments as you do!, and a very well run golf shop with everything you could ask for. The golf is very reasonably priced, and there are buggies if the legs aren't what they used to be, all in all you'll not get better value for money than Seaham golf club. 10/10
I'll be back.

Popped in to have a look and was pleasantly surprised by the displays of jewellery. There were some really lovely unique designs. Got some ideas for gifts for the family so will definitely be back.
