This church is a pleasant surprise, as it is very interesting. It was dig on the rock and the material obtained was used to creates statues to form various thing (such as a nativity scene). It is in front of the sea and well served by a parking place.

A lovely little cliff-top town, rather faded and shabby, like much in Calabria. Nice central piazza which is pretty much vehicle-free and has the usual types of restaurants and cafes along either side. Nice little side streets laid out in a pretty haphazard format across the hillside. The Castello is worth a visit and has nice views over the beach.
The traffic is pretty horrible along the main through-street, which has no pavements and is a bit nerve-wracking, but even on the smaller streets you get cars and motorbikes squeezing through.

My kids and I greatly enjoyed the ice cream tour at Chez Toi in the main Piazza of Pizzo. Anna was great, and we were impressed to hear the story of Tartufo ice cream and see the work of the master ice cream maker. Besides, Anna gave me several pieces of valuable practical advice. I do recommend Anna and her tours.

I've to say that this is the best tuna I've ever had... Simply gorgeous under olive oil, you can buy so many different types of jar, with onions (typical from that area of calabria) chilli ecc.. Definitely suggested..

Located above in the upper part of town this is a melting point in Pizzo for both, tourists and locals. It's a very cute little square with few restaurants, gelatos and cafes. A nice small church also. From the Terrace there's a great view of Murat castle and the sea beyond.
During daytime heat pretty deserted, but full in the evenings.

This was just an amazing experience.Daniele, our skipper was so nice and helpful. We did a women family trip:-) my sisters and my mum, and I can highly recommend the boot trip to everybody. It is something very special and unique. We sunbathed, snorkeled and the end was like in a movie:-)we were already heading back towards the harbor, when about 10 dolphins sprang out of the water. It was such a special and heartwarming experience.Daniele has such a knowledge of the sea and the wonderful Calabrian coast, he is funny and with his italian charme a very good host:-) Thanks again, all the best for you,Family Zauner(Austria)

We popped into here, as the story at the castle was linked to this church and we did not spend too long here, but it was worth looking around.
