Very nice restaurant serving very good steak. We tried a variety of starters and the fondue with truffles was the best. Steak was fork tender and good flavor. Service was excellent and the view is spectacular!

Upon entering this gave the impression of being an upmarket restaurant however our experience was entirely to the contrary. The staff were unfriendly and offhand.
The pasta was dried out as was the small amount of sauce which just stuck to the pasta. Some of the pasta was actually crunchy suggesting that it had been cooked previously and reheated. There were only two tasteless tiny marble sized meat balls. One member of our group only had one meatball. Very little was eaten by each person. The next course consisted of two small egg sized rolls of vbeal containing some sort of filling plus a serve of particularly oily potato pieces. For sweets I had a small piece of very dry fig tart without any cream, custard or icecream. After so many lovely meals recently in Sicily and Calabria this meal was a disgrace. I have never before had occasion to write such a damning review of a restaurant. I have had better meals at cheap ordinary cafes and grills. I cannot fi9nd one positive thing to say about the meal which is without the worst restaurant meal I have ever had in my quite long and well travelled life.

We stumbled upon this restaurant during an afternoon in Cosenza. What a wonderful surprise as this restaurant far exceeded our expectations for a nice sit down lunch. The menu is divided between Tuscan and Calabrese dishes. Food was exceptional - some of the best that we had in Italy. We took the servers recommendation and had the pasta made from chestnut flour with guanciale .... a revelation! All of the food was excellent. Service was very good, think friendly but very professional. Small place seats about 25 - wood paneling, table cloths and crystal. Exceptional value - would have happily payed twice as much.
If you are in the city you must go - I am looking forward to going back day.

i have been there with my Family, as one of my best friend kept telling me this was the best pizza he had ever tried. And I was not disappointed!
Fantastic pizza, great antipasto, delicious dessert (pizza with nutella on top), familiar environment and Top notch service. At a very affordable price.

Best meal in our 3 days in Cosenza. We especially enjoyed the black pig. The interior has been beautifully renovated. The owner and staff were really great.ty

I will not tell you nothing for the food because EVERITHING WAS PERFECT!!!!!!But I will tell you how you get there because it's VERY DIFFICULT !!!You leave Cosenza and you take the road to Donnici(inferno for some GPS)When you ender to the village on your right hand in a wall you will see a small plate with the name on it and you take a right turn.Follow the country road for 3-4 kilometers and you will see the trattoria in your left hand.JUST DO THE JORNEY !!!!!

We had lunch here today and it was great! Nice clean seafood restaurant. We had antipasto of the house (combination of lovely fried seafood, salads and rafish). We had the daily pasta with black olives, zucchini flowers and acciughe which was highly tasteful. Chocolate cake, sorbetto al limone and grappa after. Have made Reservations again for the next day!

Top!

The title says it all. I had the pizza that featured 4 flavors (of course I couldn't finish everything!) and my companion had the calzone stuffed with tuna and sweet onions; this had rocket and cheese salad with balsamic vinegar on the side. Everything tasted good. They also have a very good but limited selection of artisan Calabrian beers. Something to try too!
The place is tiny, and with the people coming in for take-away, we had to wait for a bit but not too much. But the people and the staff running the place are very warm and kind. Definitely a place to come back to. We just found our new pizza hang-out!
