We had a really excellent night here. Three really good courses. Calamari was great, and a main course of grilled streak with accompaniments included. Super tasty semifreddo to finish. Great wine selection and good service made for a great night.

Indian,Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options, Gluten Free Options, Sunday buffet all you can eat.
The place is nice an the service very attentive. What I ordered, being vegetarian, wasn't what I expected. I like very much the food from India but here it was a big disappointment.

Nearly everybody you talk to knows The Onslow Arms and has fond memories of visits over the years. Undergoing a thorough refurbishment of the building in 2011, we lovingly restored the old girl back to her former glory and she has been going from strength to strength ever since! A smart community pub with a great range of beers and fresh food, where drinkers and eaters alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. We’re also hoping that those living further afield will visit us too, either•On foot across gorgeous Surrey countryside•By bike having negotiated Newland’s Corner•By train, direct line from Waterloo at Clandon Station 200 yds away•By car – extensive car parkingWith 11 National Trust properties within 10 miles, make it a day out with lunch or dinner at The Onslow Arms!
I went for a belated birthday dinner with some friends on a Thursday as usual the restaurant was very busy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My friends had not eaten here before and they could not believe how busy it was and were pleased they had booked. I had the mackerel pate with melba toast, proper melba toast it was very tasty and another of the party had the black pudding with poached egg to start which was cooked to perfection with a runny yolk, both dishes were nicely presented. For mains I had the calves liver it was slightly pink and so tender it felt like it melted in my mouth. One of the party had fish and chips and he said it was really nice and another had the fish platter which the restaurant was happy to do for one as a main course. We all remarked how good the food was and good portions. My friends both said they could understand why it was always so busy with such good food and I was pleased I had recommended it. Keep up the excellent standards.

Visited today for lunch in a group of three - made to feel welcome from the start and staff are very pleasant and helpful. Good atmosphere, comfortable table and decent wine list. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food - we chose from the specials board and I am assured the hake was delicious (the only reservation being that the advertised tender beans were rawish) and I can vouch for the gammon steak with chips and salad. The cheese board looked pretty inviting and the vanilla bean and white chocolate parfait was a treat. Definitely a find and we hope to return before too long.

La Casita "little house" we offer an authentic flavour of the Mediterranean from Spanish Tapas and Paella , to succulent fresh fish, meat and salad. We also offer a good choice of vegetarian options and our set menu specials are great value and a quick alternative to a usual Sandwich at the office. We cook everything to order using only the best fresh ingredients.
Popped in for lunch today on a wet miserable afternoon without booking. Still fairly busy with couples and larger groups. Service was excellent (not over ever 5 mins, but still attentive). The food was absolutely delicious and we’ve had tapas in some really fantastic restaurants over the years. Did not disappoint and will be back for sure. Reputation throughly well deserved. Thank you for a lovely meal. Muchas muchas Gracias!

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities. Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.
Delicious fish soup (from the March Specials menu). We followed this with the half roast chicken, served with Gratin Potato and French beans which was very good. Service was excellent. This is a very popular restaurant and to be sure of getting a table, it is advisable to pre-book especially at busy times - e.g. Saturday lunch.

The Red Lion has everything, however, the quality of the food tops the list. Whether it be a snack lunch or dinner in the evening we have always found it to be exceptional with friendly, efficient, unobtrusive service, lovely menus in a beautiful environment. There is a lovely garden at the rear and it is doggy friendly which is good news!
It is my favourite restaurant. If you have not already tried please do so!

The Grantley arms is a newly refurbished stunning community pub with a great range of beers and fresh food, where drinkers and eaters alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. We serve delicious freshly prepared food all day every day, with quality, seasonal, well sourced ingredients freshly prepared for great flavour. Great for a snack, business lunch or dinner with friends.
Taken here for my Birthday. The food was really good, certainly good restaurant standard. The menu was interesting... it was nice to see something with Jerusalem Artichokes! The ambiance is comfortable but not intimate, the staff friendly and attentive without being pushy.
It was very busy on a Monday night, so be sure to book.
I would certainly go back there for a special occasion.

Once an afterthought to the takeaway at the front of the place, the restaurant has outgrown its cult status. For a normally quiet Tuesday night when we visited the place was humming with what looked like a whole university department. Booking would seem advisable these days. Despite that the 2 staff members coped effortlessly even asking us if we wanted to move to bigger table.
