Down to the cave in the mouth of doom...The stalagmites, standing upright in the cavern in southern Okinawa, looked eerily like spirits in death shrouds. The underground water filtered the blood-soaked soil so they could make the local beer with it.Like spirits hanging in the wind, beauty, and a reminder...down down down in the gloom gloom gloom. Where have all the soldiers gone, filtered through the mud and gore? Gone to crystal Springs in caves, everyone.Such beauty cannot cover the inhumanity of man to man in the name of greed. Look at this entrance to the cave in Southern Okinawa. Who came in here to hide and escape?

This park is easy to get to. It has 3 different access points. Easy for a quick snorkel since to rocks have lots of bright fish and the water is so clear. Our son surfed for the first time. It was a long paddle out and back to where the surf was breaking. The waves were small but a good spot to learn. Lots of paddle boarding and divers I. The area too.

We went in August, peak season, and unfortunately this meant lots and lots of snorkellers and divers. Expect to wait 20min or so to get 'that' photo inside the cave. Nevertheless, the cave was beautiful and we enjoyed snorkelling just outside the cave even more. We kayaked out to the cave and back with Aru Guide tours and they were amazing, our guide spoke perfect English and knew so much about Okinawa. Would 100% recommend!

The attractions here are the glass bottom boats and underwater Observatory tower, in addition to the beautiful views.
The kiddo enjoyed the underwater Observatory tower but dreaded the glass bottom boat probably due to the choppy seas.
We came in the early morning after Reading the forecast that thunderstorm rain will come after 11am that day, this after a full day heavy thunderstorm rain the previous day.
A shuttle bus ferrying you to the drop off points for the glass bottom boat and underwater Observatory tower, runs every twenty minutes and save you the hassle of walking there. Should you decide to walk instead, the walk from ticket office to glass bottom boat should take 10 minutes thereabout while another 5 minutes to the underwater tower.

On arrival I was confronted with a sign at the entrance to the spa informing me I was not welcome because I have a tattoo. I found this so insulting it ruined my stay at this resort.
Had I known this in advance I would not have come here.
This is the 21 century not the 19th.
They don't understand 40% of western people have tattoos and we are not all gangsters.
I'm still here. I have to suffer through one more day in a place that does not want me here! TOO BAD!

If you're interested in plants and don't have any kids, I would recommend going to the Tropical Dream Center instead.
This place is geared more for kids. Upon arriving, you walk through a small outdoor tunnel of beautiful orchids which leads to an area with shrubs that look like dragons that spray a fine water mist! Next, there is a small tea cafe where you can purchase Blue Seal ice cream, soba, or taco rice. The soba was okay.
Next, there is a field where you can walk a goat on a leash (they can be a little strong willed so beware), feed goats and black pigs carrot sticks for 100 yen, feed chickens for 100 yen, try out stilts/hula hoops/jump ropes, play on a neat wooden/intricate playground, or board a cart pulled by a water buffalo.
After that, you can swing on a large swing, visit some water buffaloes, walk through a forest trail, wander through a small maze, walk carefully across a pond, or take a coat or canoe ride.
This place is cute and relaxing, but definitely geared more for kids.

Cape Manzamo is a scenic rock formation on Okinawa Island, Japan. It is located near Onna Village in the Kunigami District of Okinawa Prefecture. Cape Manzamo is one of the most popular places among the Japanese and international travellers who visit the island. Due to its location, Cape Manzamo is facing the open East China Sea to the West. This makes it a very popular spot on Okinawa for viewing sunset, and for taking photos of the cliff from its side facing Onna Village.

This is the worse hotel I have experienced in Japan but at a unbelievable price at Yen66000 on a Friday night for 3 persons. We forgot to book the second night so due to last minute booking, the hotel charged us at Yen87000 for the Saturday night. The so called beach resort has no lounge at the lobby; almost no choices of spa services despite a full menu available; the room has a rusted toilet with old bath tube and with a small cockroach as a free compassion ... The towel at the swimming pool is very thin .. Though the lobby has been renovated but the room is really lousy ! For such a price, one can enjoy top 5 star resort hotel in Tokyo or Bali or Maldives with outstanding customer experience ! I will not recommend people to stay there !
