On the island for a week, and stopped by here almost every afternoon for a couple of lobsters. They always have cooked, and chilled 1 1/2 - 2 pounders available, and they are always so good. We have found the prices to be reasonable, and the counter service to be pleasant.
Oh, yea - they also have a good selection of fresh seafood available.

I had never been fishing before - this was a bucket list item and reviews showed that bobs deep sea fishing was the best - Im bias but they were right! Bob is fun and a true fisherman! We stopped and caught mackerel - I caught 4! It is very easy and not many instructions to follow. The water and coast line are beautiful. Bob provides all the fishing rods and help will take the fish off the rod for you! We went a bit deeper to fish for cod but they werent biting. We did get to see the Mackerel filed and the extra pieces went to the seagulls and another type of bird that dove into the water! It was a lot of fun! I wasn't disappointed at all!

Located in the center of town right on the edge of the Harbour with a boardwalk extending part way to the point. Great views of the fishing boats! Playground for the kids.
But the best part is the free summer concert series sponsored by The Provincial Credit Union. The band we listened to was very good. Chairs are provided or you can bring your own.Nice way to spend an evening!

The Watermark Box office is open from 10:00am to 8:00pm during performance schedule. Shows start at 7:30 pm and doors open half hour before. We have a licensed bar and special event venue. Visit our web site for more information.
We used to attend all of the functions at this theatre, but the plays got a little too bizzare for our liking. Well it looks like the theatre is back in full swing! We attended Neil Simmons, "A Walk in the Park" recently and thoroughly enjoyed it!.
The characters were perfectly cast and the storyline was exceptionally cute and fast moving. The set was incredible, including sky lights and a hole for the snow to come falling through at the perfect spot.
This is a small intimate theatre, where you are practically sitting on the stage with the actors. There is not a bad seat in the house! Just be prepared for 2 intermissions - makes for a longer evening but if the weather is great, you get to visit with everyone attending the theatre!

We chanced upon this tucked away little lighthouse when we went to view the house nearby that spins 360 degrees. The house was curiosity peaking, and this lighthouse was a sweet little delight to hang out around. The view off the cliff is pretty. I wished I had brought a picnic to enjoy there as there was no one else around

Tour company offering multi-day kayaking and camping expeditions in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
It was the first time we tried sea kayaking and this was the perfect place to try it. They put us in a tandem kayak while our wonderful guide, Jeff, accompanied us in his own kayak. He was very helpful in setting us up properly and showing us what to do, and then we were off and having a wonderful time. Because we were beginners, we stayed inside the harbour but still had lots to see and lots of practice paddling. Jeff was a great guide, giving us some history of the area and chatting the whole time. It was a perfect first time out and we will definitely be doing this again. Next time a longer tour!

I had occasion to visit this great shop right on the highway, on the way to see Anne of Green Gables. It's a beautiful shop with lovely pottery and very nice staff. Not to be missed!

My kids, 7 and 9, loved this so much. When I asked my very hard to please son if he liked it, he replied 'No, I loved it!'.
The whole trip was fantastic from start to finish. The crew were friendly and professional. The boat was clean and safe and fully equipped with life jackets, etc.
The trip out to sea was picturesque as expected (it is PEI!) and before you knew it we were fishing for mackerel. These were super easy to catch and both of my kids caught many and were thrilled. If their lines got tangled or they needed help a crew member was there to help. We then proceeded a bit further out to sea to catch cod and boy did we even catch some big ones! We met our quota for the boat quickly but were able to keep fishing and releasing. On the way back, the captain let my kids 'drive the boat' which was a nice touch and something they will remember. He even explained how he navigated. They loved it.
At the end of the trip the fish were divided amongst the parties on the boat to take home.
A few tips:
1. This can get dirty, so bring fresh clothes for after the trip! I underestimated the amount of fish 'stuff' that would get on the kids clothes and hands. We wanted to go out to eat after but were a little too disgusting. Also, it can get wet as there was some spray from the boat.
2. It appears you can bring your own beverages on the boat as all of the other patrons had beer, etc. It would have been nice to have a drink while cruising out to sea!

We met Norm standing on the dock at North Rustico. We chatted for about 15 minutes while he told us all about his life, lobsters, fishing, tourists, and the meaning of life. We never did go on the fishing trip, but we enjoyed just talking with him.

Located on the Hwy # 6, which is the main street through town, it is really easy to find.
With a great selection of home made Arran sweaters we were interested to check out their selection, quality and prices. They have a good selection of sweaters, cardigans, etc. They are however a much finer wool than we are used to, so the sweaters are lighter than the ones we have.
Prices are high at $300, but knowing how many hours they take to knit, probably not too unreasonable.
Very pleasant person at the till, who we chatted to for a few minutes.
