Spread along both sides of the majestic St. John River, Fredericton combines the coziness of a small town with the world-class institutions of a city much larger than this humble capital. Tree-lined streets and suburban neighborhoods of Victorian-era homes live harmoniously alongside three universities, countless historic sites, museums, riverfront trails and restaurants featuring local and international cuisines. Fredericton also boasts a number of world-renowned festivals.

15 YEARS Reader's Choice Gold Medal Award Winner for Favourite Restaurant, Best Buffet and Best Chinese Food. Open 24 Hours.
It's difficult to find an actual Chinese vegetable in their dishes and the prices are steep so unless you're looking for a meal during the night (they're open 24 hrs) save some money and try one of the other Chinese restaurants in town.

One of Fredericton's best places for casual dining. Our food is prepared fresh in an open kitchen atmosphere, where dining meets a casual relaxed atmosphere and experience.
My family went recently for a birthday. The food was pretty good but definitely not "excellent" or "outstanding"....which for the HIGH price you WOULD reasonably expect I think it is reasonable to state. Wine was very expensive too....to be fair that is the fault of NB Liquor who, I believe, sell alcohol to restaurants in the Province at the same price as to the public (unbelievable but true as I understand it!). Also do NOT order the ICE TEA unless you very literally want "iced tea"....believe it or not you get a concoction with tea bags in it that is iced...technically iced tea but definitely not what most people would (reasonably I think) expect. To be fair we sent it back and I don't think we were charged for it. The service was very good. We were originally intending to return for a subsequent family birthday in February but decided against it because of our unanimous family opinion that while the food was pretty good it was ultimately "Meh" and devoid of any "WOW!" factor. Please note we have been there many times over the years so this reaction is disappointing and perhaps a sign that standards are slipping or, to be entirely fair, that our expectations are rising (?). For example a steak one family member had, while passably tender, was not close to the tenderness you would (in our experience at least) routinely receive in a franchise "Lone Star Restaurant". When the rubber its the road the main issue is that the prices are just too expensive for the food you are served.

BrewBakers, located in the heart of Downtown Fredericton, has called the original Butternut Bakery home since 1997. With interconnected dining rooms on multiple levels, an open concept kitchen and rooftop garden patio, the atmosphere is both sophisticated and comfortable. Our menu reflects a philosophy of creating delicious, seasonal dishes, focusing on fresh, local ingredients. Our Sommelier has created an extensive wine list around our food style. He would love the opportunity to speak with you about all things food and wine! We welcome you to dine with us.
Whenever we are in Fredericton we make trip to BrewBakers and are never disappointed. The food is always delicious and the service is exceptional. IThank you very much for the kind words. We really appreciate it. We look forward to provide you with outstanding service in the near future. Your comments help others know what to expect whey they dine with us.

We stopped on our way back home on a road trip. Being from the Caribbean, we were looking for some flavas, and did they deliver. The food was tasty and they adjusted for us and the kids. The owners are really friendly it felt like eating at a relatives house. If you are in Fredericton you have to drop in and have a meal here. I know I will the next time I am in the area.

Based on TA reviews, we expected more of this place. And, if TA would allow fractional ratings, this one would be a 2 1/2.
The decor is quite interesting and the service was good.
The "prime rib" was tough and more like a roast than PRIME RIB.
The seafood platter (fried) was average at best and the salad served with it was not crisp....the lettuce was 'wimpy'.
Don't plan on being in the area again, but if we are, we will not be dining here.

Welcome to Sam Snead's Oak Grill & Tavern, located in the beautiful Kingswood Lodge at Kingswood Park. We are open year round with lot's of free parking, located on the Hanwell Road just minutes from downtown Fredericton. Come in and roam from room to room, savoring the rich wood decor and all the memorabilia collected by Sam Snead himself as he made his way into golf history. Then choose from a wide selection of foods grilled on an open flame grill with locally-cured oak, creating the most unique flavour around. Start with appetizers, then make your selection from the certified Angus aged beef, the freshest seafood, ribs or chicken. Complement all of this with a fine wine or your favourite liqueur cocktail. And for the lighter appetite there's a wide salad and Sandwich selection to be enjoyed at Sam Snead's Tavern. Be sure to top your meal with one of Sam's homemade desserts. We currently are the only Sam Snead's Restaurant in Canada offering beautiful views of Kingswood Golf.
Even though some areas of the restaurant were reserved for bigger crowds, the staff ensured that we were placed in a prime location so we can enjoy the atmosphere and say Hi to many peers and friends. Our server Courtney was very helpful and cheerful making our experience a very positive one. As usual, the place was packed even though it was a normal Tuesday evening. Simply love this place.

This is probably one of Fredericton’s best restaurant. With its varied menu featuring primarily seafood, each dish is served with flair worthy of a food selfie.
Portions don’t disappoint and prices are very reasonable.
Nice touch: For the ladies, they offer a purse caddy.
Tip: always a good idea to reserve when going at prime lunch and dinner times.
Enjoy.
