We started our walk along the leisurely flowing Reutz River easily accessed on a bus route from Neustift . As we progressed the water became a roaring mass and we were surrounded by beautiful scenery .After just under 3 miles we arrived at the Grawa Waterfall, fantastically unexpected through the trees. There is a great viewing platform with reclining seats to enjoy the beauty and atmosphere. A short climb took us to a cafe for a welcome beer and more views of the waterfall. A bus stop right alongside meant we were soon back at Neustift. Of course anyone wanting to just visit the waterfall without the Wild Water Walk could approach from the direction

Hi I am very well-traveled
When you think about traditional Austria this drive is exactly what you're looking for
The valley that leads to the mountain is all of the traditional triolein homes and mountain eateries
There are several fabulous places to turn off and take a quick walk to an amazing waterfall or stop at a great playground
Also fabulous hikes abound!
Once you get to the mountain you can choose to go halfway up or all the way up we chose the middle region where the glacier begins
There's a wonderful playground a great restaurant we had snow while we were up there in the middle of August!! An actual snowstorm!!
I would say dress warm but if you're just going to be up there for an hour you don't really need snowsuits and all the rest maybe just a warm jacket and a hat if you have it!
If you have kids with you bring a change of clothes as they get all wet playing in the snow!
Have a glass of wine enjoy the scenery and relax!

If you’re looking for challenging blacks you won’t find them here. Also the area is quite limited in size. At peak times it can be busy with day trippers & weekenders.
But the plus points outweigh the downsides:
20 mins drive from Innsbruck; a wonderful top-to-bottom run which is 5 miles long; varied terrain; comfy bottom-warming 6seater chairlift & good food & apres on the hill.

Spent 2 hours here with my husband and 2 teenagers. All thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Excellent facilities. Very clean. Outside pool has the most amazing views! Finished with an ice cream in the restaurant - huge, delicious and good value. Will definitely pay another visit next time we are in the area.

The ride up is a regular cable-car, but you have the option to ride the rodelbahn down - a tiny go-cart contraption with a seat-belt carries you headlong down a rail at speed, through tight bends, hurtling down 800m. It is exhilarating, terrifying, wonderful.
Please do not undertake this ride if you are of a nervous disposition and inclined to go slowly or to brake a lot - you will ruin the ride for those who follow you down at intervals, and have to crawl down behind you, once they catch you up!

My daughter and I returned to Austria this year (2018) as it has always been a skiing favourite. We had visited Patscherkofel, Axamer Lizum which were great ski resorts but what a disappointment Stubaier Glacier was. Arriving mid morning I was overcharged for my daughter just because we didn't have her passport on us!?! The building was a concrete monolith with dirty toilets and the staff seemed very uninterested. On trying to negotiate our way up the multi lift maze we were just told to get in line!?! But the worst thing was the pistes they hadn't been piste bashed as by 11am they were dreadful, each slope was like doing moguls, they were in such bad condition that we had to leave early. Some of the pistes were like skiing half pipe permanently (which isn't good for salom)!?! And the lift attendants were absent due to the bad weather leaving novices to manage 'T' lifts without help. It wasn't a good day skiing, it wasn't money well spent and we won't be returning. It felt like they were living on a good previous reputation and didn't really give a damn. On the good side they have a lot of restaurants if you don't like the skiing!

We had a great evening with curling, Glühwein and music here. Definitely a fun activity with a group of friends. The ice rink is well maintained and the guys running it are most accommodating. Since my feet were absolute ice blocks after a couple of rounds of curling, the owner even lent me his super warm sheep fur ugg boots.

Live Your Dreams! Under this motto we operate our tandem paragliding business in Stubai/Tirol since 1996. We fly from both 11er in Neustift as well as from Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes. Fly with us and live your dream.
Reinhard and the Air4You team are awesome and very professional. I was very nervous as I have never paraglided before, but their confidence and attention to detail calmed my nerves before takeoff. Once in the air you are like a bird peacefully flying through the air passing over majestic Mountains and Valleys. A great experience that must not be missed. Can't wait to do it again!
