Our group of Namibian karateka stayed in this Guest House and we experienced organized, clean and awesome service. A tasty 4 course meal and the best gluwein in Austria was our high points. A beautiful church nearby opened our eyes for the cultural beauty and holy peacefulness this little town has to offer. Little shops of high quality products on offer and the most amazing meat/salami is just down the street from this guesthouse.

Small place in the basement of a house, charmant decoration. Only one menu crate on each table, some daily offer put in a glass, with hand writing hardly readable. Average Austrian kitchen (soup with noodles, bread-crumbed chicken and Wiener schnitzel) with some creativity, like crab salad. The offer is small, dominated by ready to serve dishes. Nevertheless, food is tasty and serving is decorative. Staff concentrating on logistic, no smile and care. Dessert is mainly limited to variation of ice creams. Some local and organic ingredients.

In two weeks we visited a good number of the restaurants in Fulpmes. We left this one to last as as a recommendation from the owner of the accomodation we were staying at.
The food was definitely some of the best we enjoyed in the village and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The only negative point which cost it one star was the fact that we were seated by the entrance to the second room used for dining. Just outside was a play area for the guests children staying at the property. The had some very noisy toys/games and the children were shouting an running around which brought the atmosphere down dramatically. Most of the staff closed the door every time they went in and out.

The place was recommended by our landlords in Fulpmes. Situated in the center of Fulpmes, just opposite the church, this place offers local Austrian (Tyrolean) cuisine. Nice soups, perfect during cold weather, and excellent local dishes. All of us, kids included, loved it!!!

We had booked a table to celebrate our youngest daughters 8th birthday. She loves pancakes with Nutella and my other daughter loves a rear steak. As do I. We specifically booked a table on Friday because Friday is 'steak night' and because of their speciality, palatschinken (pancakes). When we looked at the menu we noticed there were no pancakes or steaks on it...
It appeared to be 'Indian night', meaning that there was a special menu. When we told what we had wanted to order, there was no problem. In other words, the chef is flexible enough to serve 3 different meals which were not on the menu that night. My compliments!
The pancake with Nutella was served with fruit and a burning sparkler on it. And a little bowl with extra Nutella. My daughter had the best Nutella pancake of her life! The steaks were of good quality and prepared exactly the way we like them (bloody). My wife had the hamburger, which she found a bit dry. Not very special, but acceptable. However, when the kids are happy Mom and Dad are happy!
When I wanted to pay the bill electronically, I was told Essbar is one of the few restaurants in which that is not possible! And I didn't have enough cash on me. This was no problem and I was told it was okay to come back the next day to pay. So they really trust their guests! In the end I brought my family to the apartment, went back to pay and drank another grappa.
All in all, we had a really nice diner and if we will ever be in Fulpmes again, we will certainly come back! And, Herr Thom F., we will book in advance! Haha!

Really nice little hut, accessible only by ski touring OR by the restaurant-provided transport, which is a small pistenbully with a rope tow behind for skiers, or alternatively children can sit inside/ on the front.
Prices very reasonable given they have you captive (!) and food of an excellent standard. We paid about 24 euros for a really filling lunch for two, with drinks included. Brilliant!

Big, but cosy with an open fireplace in the middle great terrase with a stunning view, heartly, cosy and good - thats our Slogan and we give our best to keep up with it for you
We have been going to the Jagdhuette for many years and it is our favourite place for eating after a day in the Mountains. Regine and her staff are always pleasant and helpful and the food is excellent. We will be a regular customer in September this year and look forward to dining there again. David & Nancy

A cozy pizza place in the lovely Fulmpes village, with great variety in variety of Italian food and flavor.
Always very busy so it will be wise to reserve a table in advance.
The food tastes just great, the atmosphere is fine, the people running the restaurant are very kind and very helpful.
I believe that it really worth to visit it.
We are regular clients every time we visit Fulmpes.

This place is in a great location, just off the lift and with an incredible, incredible view. They have a few tables outside, some sun chairs, and a very nice kid playing ground. I would stay here for drinks every day of the week. The food though is not that great to be honest. Not what you'd normally expect from a place like this.

What a place! What a restaurant! Allegedly the place was a mill in the 16th century and the owner's grandfather ran a milk bar and started to sell trout in the 1920is. The location is just 2 min. off the main road down into the valley near a small river. The day was blistering hot but down here with the help of the water the temperature was much more pleasant. After playing golf I was invited by a friend to have an exceptional dinner - How right he was! By suggestion (not on the menu) I started off with a game-soup which was super smooth with only a slight hint of game taste. As a main course I had a fried trout with melted brown butter on the side (not too healthy but yummy) and the usual parsley-potatoes. By the way the tout is out of the owners own pond! You can't have it fresher. We washed the fish down with a lot of “Roter Veltliner” wine. A fancy and relatively new WHITE wine grape, which was a match made in heaven. As they say – the fish has to swim For dessert I had blueberry pancakes with cream and some vanilla gelato on the side. I only choose this dessert as they told me that the blueberries were handpicked in the forest the same afternoon. (Remark: I hate the supermarket blueberries. They just taste like water in a black skin) Later in the evening when the business died down the owners – what a friendly people – sat down with us and had a glass of wine while telling us lots of stories. Thanks for your lovely company. All in all I would give the jewel of a restaurant a 4.5 out of 5 and I will be sure to be back next time I am around.
