It remains today almost untouched since turn of the last century.A home created by a person with both economic conditions and resourcefulness, based on tradition and knowledge of the then modern construction method.Particularly striking is the large timber constructions in the east which houses the nine meter high hall.Very knowledgeable guides

It is a nice museum, but I had hoped that it should have had more works of Anders Zorn. Now the paintings are in two rather small rooms, but if you combine the museum and the Zornsgården you get a really good picture of this famous artist.
The Zorn Museum, Ragnar Östberg's last work, is a two-storied rectangular brick building in the classical style. The Zorn Museum mainly displays for work by Anders Zorn and examples of his artistic variety - oil paintings, water colors, etchings and sculptures.

Great place, especially for kids. Even a nice place in the summer. Dalarna has a lot of nice places to visit, so 1/2 a day is ok.

In this heaven on earth for cultural passionistas and worshippers of art, gather global geniuses within the realm of opera to create freely, which once a year culminates in a home cooked opera taking you to wuthering heights. If in the area in the early days of summer - do not miss this! Likewise if you happen to time their Christmas or New Years Concerts, or any other event. (Word of advice is to bring a cushion/ sweater to sit on if the act is long)

The historic ski competition Vasaloppet is the basis for the cross-country skiing in Mora. In Mora's vicinity is one of Sweden's best ski areas. It features an extensive trail system and a large number of lighted trails in our villages and adjacent to the city center and the Vasaloppet Arena. You can set up on skis in the city center at the Zorn Museum and basically go to any length. During the summer running or cycling.

Visit the first own-run Morakniv store at Kyrkogatan 8 in Mora. See the entire range from kitchen and building knives to the toughest models for your survival weekend. The Morakniv knives are in many ways a strong symbol of the region and here's an opportunity to see and buy the products in the place where they are made.
Mora-kniven, er i tillegg til Vasaloppet en av de sterke ikonene for Mora. Butikken er ikke særlig stor, men den presenterer Mora-hesten og Mora-kniven på en utmerket måte. Her kan du kjøpe alle aktuelle knivmodeller. Prisnivået er hyggelig, i alle fall for standardmodellene. Kjøpte et par kniver som jeg er fornøyd med.

If you are already in Mora, visit Vasaloppsmuseet to see the history and the very popular race Vasaloppet. The race is based on the historical cross-country journey of the people who helped Gustav Vasa to take over Sweden again from Denmark. Vasaloppet started as a race in 1922. The visit to the museum is free.

Nice place but a bit old fashioned, the shows looked great fun but as I don't speak Swedish (nor do the kids) it was beyond comprehension. We met Santa later on and he really took the time for the children. Nice gift shop. All in all I think for not swedes the admission fee is very high (24 euros for adults), after 2-3 hours we already left the park
