One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
One of Oslo's top restaurants. Everything from decor and waiters to food and wine are of top quality. Bent Stiansen knows how to pleases his guests.

Fjord offers exciting varieties of fish in all forms. The restaurant changes its menu every month so that guests can experience new tastes each time they visit the restaurant. As a guest at Fjord you can always be sure that the food is made from the best ingredients, and each season will offer new and exciting selections on the menu.
We had the cod tasting menu, and the food was superb. So was the wine, and service was nice and friendly. However when you have an open kitchen, and start cleaning the kitchen - loudly - before we reached the main course, you just don’t feel that welcome anymore....

A cultural restaurant in the Kvadraturen district, inspiring both the mind and the taste buds. The restaurant serves the traditional dishes served at Pakistani celebrations, fragrant delights which can be shared among a group of friends. The restaurant regularly invites musicians, poets, authors, painters and a whole number of other artists, both Pakistani and Norwegian, to entertain their guests, providing a memorable evening out. The interior is stylish and light with white tablecloths and comfortable chairs.
We ate their twice and most of the food we tried was very good. The complimentary Lentil soup served with lemon (top), mango chicken (to my surprise very tasty), kofta (good), mutton curry (ok), seekh kebab and chicken tikka (good), smaosa channa (good) etc. Naans should be little big and thick otherwise food was very good. On top of food was the service by the young lady, very attentive and friendly.

Loved it! Food had international standard and a Norwegian twist: Fresh crap cake, lobster bisque, game and the most delicious strawberry champagne soup yummy! What lifted the experience to top level has super friendly serving with a big smile that made me feel at home as well as treated as a king.
The wine menu would be only average level - good indeed but I have had better

Ruffino is an authentic Italian restaurant that smells, tastes and feels Italian. The menu includes a large selection of antipasti, home-made pasta dishes, seafood and meat dishes, as well as dessert favourites like fondente, tiramisu and gelato. All dishes on Ruffino's menu are available as children's portions for half price. The restaurant is located in Henrik Ibsens gate, close to the Royal Palace and Karl Johans gate.
Okay not a bad place. But seriously the antipasta not special at all. The scallops disappointing. The meat from the charcuterie below average. The bruchettas luke warm. Primo piato we have ordered different items to share. Ravioli really good, the risotto no real risotto rice and not well cooked. Main course also average
Deserts average, and had much better Italian ice creams in my life. The espresso good, but they kept the brand away for us. Service friendly, but keep on filling your glasses when you order by the bottle. So for a no 4 ranking on TripAdvisor very disappointing

We had two burgers at Sjøflyhavna today. The location is very nice, close to the water. And the building it self has charm. Sadly the waiters seem unorganized and work slow. Sitting at at table a bit from where the waiters walk back and forth we had to work a bit to get our order taken. We saw several tables who had ordered after us get their food before us, even though we had ordered the same. The same thing happened when we asked for the bill. We had to ask for it a second time, after waiting 15 minutes.
Summary:
Nice location, and fairly good burgers, but poor service sadly.

Had high expectations when we came. Had booked via email 2 weeks earlier. The staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived. The restaurant is in the basement and quite cozy. We had the tasting menu. Our young waiter seemed a little overwhelmed. Maybe it is just our English. The food when it came was well presented. Unfortunately I found most of the flavours too salty. Overall an enjoyable evening and fair value for money.

WELCOME TO STRAND RESTAURANT Strand restaurant is located just 15 min from Oslo city centre. The beautiful villa which houses the restaurant is a listed historical building surrounded by a parkland area and has magnificent views over Oslo fjord. The property was totally refurbished and opened to the public in 2010. Tom Victor Gausdal and Stian Floer have worked tirelessly together with Bærum Council to restore this beatuful building to its former glory and take it to new culinary hights. The original building has rich history and tradition dating back 2 centuries and has been used for countless weddings, christenings and other events and holds a special place in the hearts of the local residents. At present the building houses a bakery, restaurant, banquet halls and open Terrace. In the immediate surroundings are a number of sculptures by Joseph Grimeland as well an antique iron pavillion. The local harbour can also be used by our guests who wish to arrive by boat. At present, Strand
A superb place to visit with sea views when its not raining. O popular place to celebrate , and today was borderline overbooked , with the guests helping tha staff with plates and the buffet looking like a herd of locusts had descended apon it, Very expensive forwhat it is.

Excellent place to come for authentic texan food. Limited space, so better book ahead. Fast and good service. Not many choices when it comes to drinks.
